SILVER #33450C AH Monogrammed Beige Linen Tablecloth
This AH Monogrammed Tablecloth is identical to the example that is shown on page 21 of the Mark Griffith book. The linen is a light beige color and has the large embroidered white monogram featuring a political eagle with half-open wings grasping a wreath with mobile swastika inside. The Führer’s initials “AH” are respectively on each side of the wreath. This tablecloth is in pristine condition throughout. It measures five feet by ten feet. In one corner is a beautiful embroidered monogram which features the political eagle with half-open wings grasping a mobile swastika within a wreath. On either side of the wreath respectively are the Führer’s initials “AH”. This tablecloth is in choice condition throughout. It is the same the example shown on page 21 of the Mark Griffith book.

SILVER #33454C AH Monogrammed Formal Pattern Large White Dinner Napkin
This AH Monogrammed Dinner Napkin is in white linen with a pattern running through the surfaces. The large size napkin was obviously designed to go with a tablecloth of the same pattern. This napkin shows some minor yellowing spots in the surfaces, but this is to be expected on something some 70 years old. The napkin has hand embroidery in one corner area which features the political eagle with half-open wings clutching a wreath with mobile swastika. On either side of the swastika is the Führer’s monogram “AH”. This napkin measures 25 inches by 25 inches and the pattern seems to be the same as the pattern shown in the tablecloth photo in Mark Griffith’s book on page 23. This is the first time that I have had an opportunity to offer one of these formal napkins. I believe them to be very rare.

SILVER #33330C AH Informal Pattern Luncheon Fork
This AH Informal Pattern Luncheon Fork measures 7 inches in length. The informal pattern is much plainer than the formal style in that there is no design around the handle and the political eagle lacks detail to its surfaces. The eagle looks to the viewer’s left with half open wings and clutches a smooth wreath in his talons with a raised immobile swastika. On either side of the wreath is the Führer’s monogram, “AH” respectively. On the reverse of the fork is the hallmarks beginning with a crescent, a Prussian crown, the silver content “800” and a Prussian eagle. Despite the fact that informal pieces are much rarer than the formal types they seem to bring less money. Perhaps as collectors realize this prices will go up on these pieces and therefore, they should be a good investment.

SILVER #32806 Adolph Hitler Formal Pattern Demitasse Spoon
This demitasse spoon measures about 4½ inches in length. The spoon comes from the estate of a veteran who was a member of the 42nd Rainbow Division. The veteran liberated 4 demitasse spoons from Munich and I recently purchased these from his daughter. These spoons are in uncleaned absolute perfect mint condition. They are the most crisp examples I have seen to date. They virtually are in new-like out-of-the-box condition. The spoon, of course, has the Greek Keypattern that runs around the perimeter of the handle. On the lower side of the spoon handle is a half open winged Political NSDAP eagle which clutches an immobile swastika. On either side of the swastika’s wreath are the Führer’s initials, “A.H.”, respectively. The detail is phenomenal throughout this insignia. The reverse of the spoon is marked in the normal pattern that we see on formal wear, having the silver content “800”, and on the left side a crescent with a Prussian Crown, and on the right side there is an eagle. This is a grand opportunity to acquire a choice conditioned formal pattern Adolph Hitler piece of flatware. It also comes with a copy of the letter of authentication from the veteran’s daughter.

SILVER #33282 Eva Braun Monogrammed Tea Spoon
This Eva Braun Monogram Tea Spoon measures 5½ inches in overall length and is silver plated. It reflects a floral design around the edges of the handle and in the lower center are the initials, “EB”. The “B” represents the surname so the inside areas are accented with lined shading. The reverse of the handle is marked with the manufacturer “WMF”, the word “Patent”, the silver content “90” which means 10% silver and the number, “18” within a diamond. This spoon measures 5½ inches overall in length. The “EB” monogram is very well done and matches several other pieces in my possession. I believe these to be original Eva Braun silverware and guarantee them to be original.

SILVER #33281 Eva Braun Monogrammed Cake Fork
This Eva Braun Monogram Cake Fork measures about 6 inches in length. The European cake fork is distinguished from other forks in that the left end prong is of slightly larger proportion than the other two prongs. This three pronged fork has a handle decorated with a floral edge and at the bottom is the monogram, “EB”. The “B” is done with shading in between the lines to indicate this is the surname. The reverse of the fork is hallmarked with the name of the company, “WMF” and the silver content, “90” which means 10% or silver plated and the number, “18”. I am not sure what “18” means but it may be the style or model number. This design appears to be authentic and the engraving process completely period. I unconditionally guarantee this cake fork to be authentic. I know that there are several patterns of silverware that exist with Eva Braun’s monogram. Many collectors feel that silver companies often visited Bertesgaten and perhaps brought sample sets of silverware in hopes that Eva would order from them. If this is the case it would certainly account for some of the many different patterns that we see. Either way I guarantee the authenticity of this piece.

Items from the Dietrich Eckhart Krankenhaus
Dietrich Eckart was a German politician, one of the important early members of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) and a participant of the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch. These artifacts come from the hospital ( or krankenhaus in German ) in Bavaria which bears his name.
SILVER #29094C Embossed Eckhart Krankenhaus White Linen Napkin
This linen napkin is a fine white fabric embossed with the Greek Key pattern as well as other symbols. In the center, in two lines, is the embossing, “Dietrich Eckart Krankenhaus.” A krankenhaus is a hospital. Apparently, there was a hospital named after Eckart and someone made off with this linen napkin. Eckart was one of Hitler’s early mentors, giving the Fuhrer special guidance to fan his hatred for the “Jewish inspired revolution” of world war I. Eckart was an alcoholic and drug addict and was once confined to an institution for the mentally deranged. Hitler, for some reason, highly endorsed Eckart’s anti-semitic ideas and Nationalist aspirations. At any rate, the napkin can be in your collection.

Platterhof Hotel Crystal and China
The Platterhof Hotel was built by the Nazi Party to house visitors waiting to see Hitler. The hotel was located a short distance from Hitler's mountain residence, the Berghof. The Platterhof Hotel was used by the US Army until about 2005, when it was torn down after being returned to the control of the Bavarian government. As was the case with many of the properties in Hitler's Obersaltzberg, the Platterhof was relentlessly looted by American soldiers in May of '45. The Platterhof logo was used on all silver and glassware used at the hotel. It depicts a peasant woman with mountains rising behind her, surrounded by an oval outline.
SILVER #32738 Small Creamer Pitcher from Platerhof Hotel
This small creamer pitcher is about 2 ½ inches high, and about 4 inches wide at the spout. It is a fine silver plated nickel example that comes directly from the Platerhoffe Hotel in Berchtesgaden. The pitcher has a conventional spout and the handle is ear-shaped, except for the top portion which is straight. The pitcher is deeply stampled with the Platerhoffe Hotel symbol. The symbol consists of an oval with a tulip at the top, and it portrays a peasant woman standing between two mountains. The lower portion of the pitcher is stamped “1/2 T”, and also has the maker’s name with the silver content, “Gebr. Hepp”, and the silver content of “91”. This content amount translates to 10% silver. This pitcher is in very fine shape and recently acquired from the family of a veteran.

SILVER #32348 Platterhof Champagne Glass
This crystal champagne goblet is quite beautiful, being clear throughout and measuring approximately 4 inches in height. The glass is etched on one side with an oval design having a tulip at the top rim. Inside of the oval is featured an Alpine dressed woman standing between two mountains. This crest was the logo of the infamous Platterhof Hotel. The Platterhof was originally built to entertain Party members at little cost wanting an Alpine excursion. It turned out that the hotel was mainly used to garrision important personages waiting to see Hitler. At the end of WWII, the U.S. Army took over the Platterhof and renamed it the General Walker Hotel. It was given back to Germany a couple of years ago and the Bavarian government knocked it down in favor of building a new hotel. A beautiful, historic crystal champagne glass here.

SILVER #29841 Platterhof Small Gravy Boat
This small gravy boat was probably used as an individual serving. It measures approximately 6½” at the wide point and about 2½” at the narrow point in the center. The gravy boat is in the traditional shape with a spout on one end and a handle on the other. The boat is mounted on a pedestal device. The entire piece is probably a nickel base with silver plated surfaces. The silvering has turned black with patination and really looks good. At the base of the gravy boat, there are some markings, on one side being the producer name “Gebr Hepe” and then after that, the code “90”. This code normally indicates that the pieces of silver plate amounting to 10%. On the center of the gravy boat is the beautiful symbol of the Platterhof. It consists of an oval design which contains a pheasant figure of a woman standing in front of two mountains. The background sky is lined and the area beneath the woman has little flower designs. You can see this design on the crystal glasses that I am also offering on my site from the Platterhof. There is also the number “0.10” stamped on the rim of the pedestal. This represents the centiliter, which was the metric amount that the gravy boat would hold. A very nice piece here.

Joachim Von Ribbentrop Flateware
Ulrich Friedrich Wilhelm Joachim von Ribbentrop was Foreign Minister of Germany from 1938 until 1945. Due to the social nature of diplomatic work, lavish dinners were the order of the day. Flatware from Klessheim Castle
The below table service comes from Klessheim Castle. This
castle was located over the border from Obersalzberg, looking
over the border from Obersalzberg in Austria. The Klessheim Castle
was located near Saltzburg. Many of the dignitaries, that were
waiting to see Hitler, were housed at Kleissheim Castle, as it
was not far from the Burghof. This castle was maintained as a
government residence, and therefore, had its own flatware pattern
that was used for meal service. The below pieces come directly
from Kleissheim, and they bear the markings of the Arthur Krupp
firm, located in Berndorff. These pieces are silver plate, and
they are marked on the reverse 50 and 90.
I believe that the 90 marking, found on silver plate,
designates that 10% of the material was the silvering, and the
90 would have been a mixture of metals for the base
material.

Hermann Göring Section
Hermann Göring's wealth and grand style of living required table service and flatware second to none. He and his wife, Emmy, constantly entertained at Karenhalle and Obersaltzberg, as well as their lavish Berlin apartments. This "legacy of opulence" has left much in the way of silver pieces to collect. There were literally scores of different patterns and settings, each bearing Göring's "Mailed Fist"coat of arms. As one of therichest men in the world at the time, we collectors can now enjoy some of Hermann's "perviously owned" bounty.
SILVER #31604 Hermann Göring Galley Set from his Personal Aircraft
This galley set comes from Hermann Göring’s personal airplane, being a JU 290. The galley set was originally taken by a U.S. Army officer from the airfield at “Ahring,” which is near Obersalzberg. Ahring was the airfield where Hans Bauer flew Hitler’s airplane back and forth from his mountain residence. The galley set has a lot of documentation to go with it, including a statement in the memoirs of the last owner, an American who paid $10,000.00 for this set back in 1968. The items in the box consist of four plates with Göring crest, four cups with crest, four drinking glasses with crest (one with crack), two champagne flutes with crest, four forks, four spoons, four knives and four fruit knives, all with Göring crest. (Three of the knives have been replaced with Henckels blades.) This galley set is stored in a wood box which has very clever compartments and specially made inserts. Therefore, the contents are kept safe during the bumpiest of flights which was common for air travel of the day.
The flatware is marked on the reverse “BSF90”, indicating it was of a silver plated service. The china plates are all marked on the reverse with a Bavarian crown over a crest having the initials “p. t.” on either side. Below this is the name of the company “Bavaria/tirschenreuth/Germany”. This seal is green in color and appears on all of the plates, saucers and cups. The Göring crest that is on the items is more elaborate than we usually see. It is the style with the shield at the bottom with the maled fist and then there is a knight’s head above this, and above the knight’s head is another maled arm with fist holding ring. Naturally, all of these Göring crests and seals are under glaze. The dishes are an off-white color with a pleasing white-green rim. This cleverly constructed wood box consists of a nice, beautiful unfinished wood on the inside. On the outside it is painted blue. It is equipped with standard hardware style catches with a leather handle which is screwed to the box. The blue color, of course, would reflect the Luftwaffe. The box measures 19½” x 16” and is about 5” high. Obviously, it would be great fun to own this set. You can just imagine Göring’s guests in his private airplane, eating and drinking coffee and cake off of these dishes. Accompanying the set is some rather outstanding documentation which follows the route of the box from the war up until today. A one of a kind piece and truly a "must have" for any Göring enthusiast!

The reverse of each piece is hallmarked with a lattern, a Prussian crown, the silver content “800”, and what looks to be a dove. The blades of the two knives are stainless steel and both of these blades are marked “KK over S” and beneath this are the words “Nicht Rostnd”. These words mean “without rust” or stainless steel. This is a great opportunity to acquire a complete place setting. This flatware is in excellent condition throughout.

Personal Flatware of SS Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler
The below flatware comes directly from the SS Headquarters
at Prinz Albrechtstrasse in Berlin. This famous address, of course,
was the headquarters of the Gestapo. These pieces are all accompanied
by documentation from Staff Sergeant William Ayres, who was attached
to the 382nd Bomb group which was assigned under General Clay.
They were stationed in Berlin and took over the SS headquarters,
barracks and mess hall. Ayres was shown the silverware which was
stored in the basement and was given permission by his captain
to send it back to the United States. The documentation also comes
with a picture of Ayres at the SS headquarters as well as two
other pertinent photos. This flatware is of silver plate, typical
of Himmler not wanting to spend money on frivolity such as having
a sterling silver set. These pieces are unconditionally guaranteed
to have once been the property of Heinrich Himmler. Each piece
is marked on the reverse with the maker monogram WMF
and also the number 90. This means that the flatware
was plated, having 10% silver.
SILVER #31295C Himmler Tablespoon
This tablespoon measures 7¼” and is marked with the “HH” monogram coming from the Heinrich Himmler table service. It conforms with other known pieces of Himmler’s table service, being stamped on the reverse with the maker initials “wmf” and “90”. SILVER #28118C Himmler Three Piece Relish Set
This Himmler flatware is for the relish course which was served first with European dining. The utensils are normally quite small for this course. This set consists of a fork, spoon and knife. The spoon measures only about 5 ¼-inches, the fork about 6-inches, and the knife about 6 ¾-inches. All pieces are produced by the WMF silver company and they are of silver plate. The pieces are marked with Himmler’s initials, “HH”. These pieces come from a veteran who was in Prinz Albrechect Strasse and liberated Himmler’s flatware. The spoon is stamped on the reverse with the maker initials plus the “90” indicating silver plate. The fork also has the maker’s initials and “90” stamping but on the prong end of the utensil it appears that this portion is made of stainless as it is marked, “Nirosta”. The stainless is inserted in to the silver plated area. Additionally, this stainless portion has a logo of a pyramid with a plus in the center, the same as we see with the SS dagger maker Gottlieb Hammesfahr. The knife is marked in a similar fashion, the handle portion having the “90” and the “WMF” markings, and on the blade is marked with the pyramid with plus, the “WMF” markings again, and the word, “Nirosta” which means stainless. A nice little three piece setting here which is extremely rare and would make a great presentation with a SS marked napkin.

Deutsche Hof Flatwear
The Deutsche Hof was Hitler's favorite hotel and was
located in the center of Nuremberg. The Führer always stayed
there when he visited this medieval city and it became his headquarters
during the Party rallies held each September. The hotel was so
grateful for Hitlers endorsement and consistent presence
that it had various flatware and serving pieces produced with
the NSDAP symbols and swastikas. These pieces are normally of
silver plate.
SILVER #33538 Deutsche Hof Large Milk Creamer
This Milk Creamer is silver plated and is highly patinated. It is about 4-3/4” high and about 6” wide from the handle to the mouth. The creamer is the larger size that would have been used as a table service. The handle is in an ear shape and the spout is a traditional shape. The left side of the creamer is deeply stamped “Der Deutsche Hof”. The lower rim has the name of the producer “Gebr. Hepp”. On the bottom of the creamer is the contents level “0.20 L”. Beneath this is the letter “K”. In the center of the bottom is a swastika with a wreath around it. This creamer shows some mild usage over the years but overall it is in fine condition.
Excellent Plus. $350.00
SILVER #33539 Deutsche Hof Small Teapot
This Deutsche Hof Teapot would have been used for individual servings. It is 6” high and 7” wide from the handle to the spout. It is equipped with a ball topped hinged cover lid. The left side of the pot is deeply stamped “Der Deutsche Hof”. On the bottom lip is the name of the producer “Gebr. Hepp”. On the lower lip is the contents of the teapot “0.25 L”. And beneath this on the lower lip is stamped “274” and what looks like an “X” beneath. There is a swastika with wreath around it stamped into the bottom center. This teapot is highly patinated and shows much usage of the period in the surfaces. Along the reverse of the handle it appears that someone was banging something with this pot – perhaps a nail or trying to hammer something in place. Other than a few “tap taps” the effort did not harm the teapot.
Excellent. $350.00
SILVER #33194 Deutsche Hof Large Meat Serving Tray
This Deutscherhof Large Serving Tray is oval shaped and measures approximately 24-inches at the wide point and 16½ inches at the narrow section. The tray is of all solid nickel with fine patinated silver surface. The obverse of the tray has two staged areas with lips which go into a deeper section in the middle. There are no markings on the obverse. The reverse on one end is deeply stamped, “Der Deutshe Hof”. Above this stamping is a swastika within a wreath of wheat style leaves. On the opposite end of the reverse is stamped the manufacturer as well as the location city, “Gebrüder Hepp / Pforzheim”. While examining the tray further I just noticed that there is an obverse stamping which is, “Gebr. Hepp”, “90”, “705”. These stamping probably are the silver content which would be 10% and probably the model number or type. This Deutscherhof Hotel tray would make a great display on a table backed up to a wall to put items in front of or it would also make for a fine bottom tray to put other Deutscherhof silver on or perhaps some other related type of German tableware. This is the first tray I have seen of this size from the Deutscherhof hotel.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $495.00 (#111511)
SILVER #33193 Deutsche Hof Small Creamer
This Deutscherhof Small Creamer measures only about 2½ inches high and the spread from the handle to the end of the spout is about 3-inches. The creamer is deeply patinated with a very dark coating over the silvered surfaces. These creamers are made of nickel with a silver plated finish. The creamer is marked on one side, “hotelbetriebsges.m.b.H.”. This basically translates to “hotel silver service”. Although this creamer does not have the Deutscherhof hotel stamped into the surfaces it came with other Deutscherhof tableware and I have had other items in the past marked the same way and I’m sure they were used at the Deutscherhof. The lip of the creamer at the bottom is also deeply stamped with the maker mark, “Gebru Hepp” and then the size of the unit, “0.05”. The bottom of the creamer has the swastika within a circle of wheat shaft style leaves. A good item here to start your Deutscherhof collection and you can easily move up to the larger size creamer and other available pieces. The price is reasonable and good for those getting started on a budget.

SILVER #31671 Deutscher Hof Large Milk Pitcher
This milk pitcher is slightly over 4 inches high and about 5 inches wide at the spout and handle. It is the typical pitcher that we see used in Hitler’s favorite hotel in Nuremberg. This pitcher is silver plated and has turned completely black with patination. It really looks great if you like this look. The front center edge of the pitcher has been deeply stamped, “Der Deutsche Hof”. On the bottom of the pitcher it is stamped with the wreath having an open swastika in the center. This was part of the special silverware made for the hotels that Hitler often frequented. The pitcher is marked on the bottom, “0.20L” which is the capacity and also below that is a letter “K” which is probably a model designation. A very nice item here to display with other AH silver memorabilia.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $350.00
SILVER #31672 Deutsche Hof Small Individual Cream Pitcher
This small individual cream pitcher is silver plated and has turned completely black with patination. The pitcher is approximately 2 3/8-inches high and it measures about 3 ½-inches across the span between the spout and handle. The pitcher on one face edge is deeply stamped, “Der Deutsche Hof”. Additionally the pitcher is maker marked on the top of the bottom rim which is “Gebr. Hepp”. It is also stamped next to this, “90”. This means that the pitcher is silver plated being 90% of other metal and 10% of silver. Most likely these are a nickel base. The lower portion of the pitcher is stamped with the wreath surrounding an open swastika. This was the stamping for silver service made in the hotels that Hitler frequented. The rim is also stamped, “0.05” which is the content amount and below this is the letter, “K” which was probably a model designation. It is fun to speculate some of the conversations that must have been held at the dining tables of the Deutscher Hof hotel especially during Party rally days in September of each year. A great keepsake here and a nice item to display with other AH silver.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $250.00
SILVER #29844 Deutsche Hof Small Cream Pitcher
This small cream pitcher is only 2 ½-inches high, measures 3 ¼-inches from the handle to the spout and has a diameter of 1 ¾-inches. It is nicely patinated to a black color over the silver-plated surfaces. The base metal is probably nickel. The handle is the traditional rounded type and the spout is also the normal style. On the center area of one side is the name of the hotel, “Der Deutsche Hof”. Stamped into the lower bottom area is a mobile swastika with a surrounding wreath. Stamped into the edge is, “0.05” which I believe is the centiliter capacity and below this is the letter, “P” which may be a designation of the model. A nice little pitcher here.
Excellent. $250.00
SILVER #29840 Deutsche Hof Gravy Boat
This small individual service gravy boat has a fine silver plate, mostly likely over nickel, and it reflects a very even desirable black patination. The gravy boat measures about 6¾” from handle to spout and about 2¾” at the center width. The handle is a nicely shaped, round item with a small flared tip that works nicely as a hold for the thumb. The spout is the typical rounded type. There is a nice beveled edge around the top surface. The center portion of the gravy boat is stamped with a rectangle. Inside, in two lines is “HOTEL DEUTSCHLER-HOF/NÜRNBERG”. Along the rim at the base is stamped “Wellner-Soehne” and then next to this is the numeral “12”. An outstanding, good-conditioned example here.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $395.00
SILVER #29835 Deutsche Hof Tea Pitcher
These small tea pitchers were used to hold hot water for an individual serving. This example measures the top of the lib knob about 6” in height. It is also about 6” in width, measuring from the spout to the handle, and the diameter below at the pedestal is about 3” wide. The teapot has a hinged lid with a round knob on the surface. The handle is rounded and the spout is a conventional shape. The pot extends downward to a thinner base with a flared out lower rim. On the center of the pot, it is marked “Der Deutsche Hof”. Stamped onto the bottom of the pot is the mobile swastika inside of a set of leaves. This marking appears on quite a bit of hotel style silver plated pieces. I believe it tends to indicate that the DAF union possibly was involved in the producing of the tableware. In addition, the pot is stamped “0.25L” which I believe is the contents the teapot would hold. A very nice example here, having fine, even black patination throughout.
Excellent. $325.00
SILVER #29839 Deutsche Hof Creamer
This individual creamer is a silver plated variety over a nickel base. It is about 4¼” high and the width between the handle and spout is about 5¼”. The diameter is 2½”. The obverse of the pitcher is deeply stamped “Der Deutsche Hof”. Stamped into the bottom center of the pitcher is the mobile swastika inside of a round wreath. Stamped on the bottom of the rim is “0.20”. More than likely, this is the centiliter capacity of the pitcher. This pitcher has a rounded handle with conventional style spout. It has a good patination over the silvered finish.

SILVER #33458 Small Silvered Creamer from U-561
This small creamer is a nickel based piece having a silvered finish. It measures about 2-3/4” in height and the width stretching from the handle to the spout is about 3-1/4”. This interesting little creamer has the crest of “U561”. It features a engraved double lined shield image and at the bottom of the image is the name of the U-Boat “U561”. On top of the name is a pair of palm trees with a torpedo image at the bottom between the trees having a propeller at the tip. I didn’t look it up but I’m sure that if you look up U561 you will find that this is the proper shield for this U-Boat. The engraving is extremely well done and profession in every way. At the bottom of the creamer it is stamped “Ges. Geschützt/Gebr Hepp”. Below this is the contents of the creamer “1/2 T”. This creamer shows quite a bit of age and some small dings on the reverse area. It has been rubbed with what looks like to be maybe a Brillo pad but with some careful semi-chroming a lot of this could be taken out if desired. U-561 was torpedoed by the British in the Mediterranean Sea on 12 July 1943. The U-Boat was raised in the 1960s and perhaps this is how the creamer comes to us. At any rate, a nice item for those collecting silver or U-Boat relics.

SILVER #33192 H.D.D.K. Dinner Knife
This H.D.D. K. Dinner knife is 10¼ inches in length having a stainless style blade with silver plated nickel handle. The knife is made by the Wellner factory and is stamped accordingly. Lower on the handle are the initials, “H.D.D.K.” which are probably standing for the Haus of German Kunst but I am not sure totally so I’m not going to say that this is what it is. For what it is worth though the knife did come with some other Haus de Kunst flatware. The handle shows a lot of usage and dings and scratches but it is all there. The stainless style blade still has most of its crossgraining and there are some nicks in the edges. One side is marked with a shield having the firm’s name “Wellner” across the top. Inside the shield at the bottom are the three gnome like figures carrying flatware on their shoulders. Beneath this is the words for stainless steel being “nicht / rostnd”. An interesting example here not in good condition but it is what it is.

SILVER #29095C SS Lined Napkin
This linen napkin is of highest quality construction. It is still in perfect condition, having turned slightly darker from age, but the white linen still looks nice. One quarter of the napkin is beautifully brocade with a set of SS Runes. This would make an outstanding addition to an SS tableware collection or other SS memorabilia. This is the first napkin of this type I have seen. Very impressive!

SILVER #29096C Linen Napkin from SS Officers Club
This linen napkin is of finest white fabric, having a floral pattern throughout. At one corner is an embossed style letter “D” and in the opposite corner is a property stamping for the napkin, “SS – Standarte 1/VT “Deutschland” / Führerlager – München.” This translates to “SS Standart 1 VT Deutschland Officer’s Lounge – Munich.” Obviously these linen napkins were property stamped to keep track of them. Knowing the German mind, these napkins were probably counted when they were put out on the tables and recounted when they were picked up afterward. A fine item here and a great display napkin with other SS silver flatware. There is a small tear in one of the seams, but other than that, the linen napkin is in good condition. SS Deutschland has the role of guarding the Feldherrnhalle memorial to the Putsch of 1923. The memorial was known as the “Ehrenmal Für die Gefallen,” or Honor Plaque for the Fallen. In addition to this honor duty, SS Deutschland also maintained a 24-hour guard at the honor temples next to the Brownhouse in Munich. This, of course, would be the reason that these regiment members were on hand in Munich. An important SS artifact here.

SILVER #29013C Luftwaffe Gravy Boat
This gray boat is in all-white stoneware and measures, overall, about 10 inches in length for the lower section, and about 9 inches in length for the gray boat itself. The two pieces are attached as one and were used as a single unit. The gravy boat is a traditional shape, being oval and having a spout on each end. It is made so that gravy could have been poured directly from the boat onto an individual’s plate. The white stoneware is in perfect condition throughout, having no chips or any problems. The lower portion of the gravy boat is indented and is very nicely marked. It has the producer’s name, “Johann Haviland Bavaria”, and there is a crest in the center showing a crown over the letter “R”. Below this is an early drooptail Luftwaffe eagle flying to the viewer’s right. The eagle is highly detailed and carries a mobile swastika in his talon. Below the swastika is the date “1940”. On either side of the swastika is the particular unit or Luftwaffe group that used this piece,”Fl. U.V.”. A very nice item here that would go well with a Luftwaffe display.

SILVER #29014C SS Reich Gravy Boat
This gravy boat is the style were the boat itself is connected to a lower plate. The lower plate measures approximately 10 inches and is ovalled. The gravy boat is about 8 ¾ inches overall, having dual spouts so that the contents could be poured directly onto a plate. The gravy boat is all in white stoneware and is in perfect condition, except for a very minor chip on the rim of the lower plate section. There is an indentation at the bottom where in green is printed the name of the company that produced the item, “Bauscher Weiden”. In between the two words is a round circle with the letters “B” over “W”. Below this the same green lettering “SS – Reich/1938”. I know that SS – Reich had its own serving utensils and, therefore, must have had a large mess hall. We have silverware from this same SS Division on sale. A nice item here to display with your SS collection.
Excellent Plus. $495.00
SILVER #29017C RAD Cream Pitcher
This stoneware cream pitcher is a fine white color and is in perfect condition throughout. The pitcher is fairly large being about 5 ½ inches in height, with the spout measuring approximately 3 inches at the round portion. The pitcher would have been used to contain cream. On the bottom, in green, the pitcher is marked with a manufacturer name, but it is in a script that I cannot make out. Beneath the name is a lion within a circle, having the letters “LHS” beneath the animal. Below the circle line is “Bavaria/1940”. Below this is the full name of the RAD, “Reichsarbeitsdienst”. This pitcher would enable you to enjoy your Cheerios in the morning and, assuredly, not run out of milk. A nice fine conditioned artifact here, that even your wife won’t mind if you have it on the kitchen table.
