#25863-$62.00
#25867-COLLECTING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH-VOL. V
Fascinating in-depth studies both of SS daggers and their variations
and the Government/Diplomatic dagger. Both chapters are jam-packed
with close-up photography, designed to acquaint the novice with
the authenticity knowledge needed when acquiring any of these
edged weapons. There is also a chapter devoted to the rare Waterways
Protection Police dagger. In addition to rare and unusual weapons
there are chapters on photography, maintenance, and even display
of collections. Other than Volume I, this reference is probably
the best in the series.
#25867-Hard Cover format, 330 Pages. $62.00
#25868-COLLECTING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH-VOL. VI
For the first time this series gives a first hand account of how
daggers were manufactured, detailing little known facts such as
drop forging, crossguard casting and even carving of grips! There
is an in-depth chapter featuring a multitude of photos illustrating
the rare NPEA dagger - it addresses the otherwise complicated
subject in the same easy-to-understand method used for SS daggers
in Volume V. There are chapters on Eickhorn showroom swords, Paul
Mueller Damascus, and many recently discovered "treasures"
of the 3rd Reich. There is also a new price guide, which is expanded
to include even hangers, swords and bayonets!
Hard cover format, 338 pages. Over five years in the writing.
$ 62.00
#25869-COLLECTING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH-VOL. VII
This volume's first chapter continues with the secrets of Solingen
craftsman and how they produced edged weapons. There is an extensive
chapter devoted to the Teno Leader dagger and the Subordinate
Hewer, giving translations of related orders and showing all the
different hanger variations. There are many rare one-of-a-kind
edged weapons shown for the first time - the Martin Bormann SS
Honor degen the Eastern Peoples Gold dagger, several SA Honor
examples, and even a 2nd Model Luftwaffe dagger with diamonds
in the swastikas! Johnson devotes a chapter to a visit he made
to some of the little known towns in the East where daggers were
made, and gives first hand accounts of their activity during the
war. He also reveals copies of some of the records recovered from
the WKC factories. There is also a chapter devoted to researching
an SS Honor dagger, and also a fine job by Bob Heiduk, detailing
3rd Reich fighting knives.. This book is another great effort
in the series, culminating with an updated current values list.
#25869-Hard Cover Format. 372 Pages $ 62.00
h. Volume VIII -
This volume begins with a most interesting chapter on Tom Johnson's
visits to Solingen, and how it looks today, compared with the
past. There is a exciting chapter written by Ben Swearingen on
the discovery of the Reich Marshall dagger and its unfortunate
disassembly by the returning veteran. Tom updates collectors on
such interesting items as the Sepp Dietrich Sword, Railway daggers,
SS Roman Numeral stampings, and Teno Leader daggers and Hanging
Straps. The latest sales values for all daggers, swords, miniatures
and even accouterments are included - worth the price of the book
alone. There are many rare daggers shown in subsequent chapters,
and a final chapter by noted expert Robert Heiduk, on the 3rd
Reich Boot Knife.
Hard Cover Format, 363 Pages. $ 62.00

2) Thomas M. Johnson's & A. Bram Wasmus - "CROSS REFERENCE
TO FIRST FIVE VOLUMES"
This "God send" will enable us all to find that one
photo of a dagger that we know we saw, but can't remember which
Volume it was in! This cross reference is absolutely a must with
all collectors.
(postpaid) $ 12.95
4) Thomas M. Johnson's - "3RD REICH EDGED WEAPONS ACCOUTERMENTS"
-
I use this reference constantly, as it has photos of all daggers
with the important accouterments attached. This reference has
been a "sleeper" in the past. The photographs are sensational
and the pictured artifacts are mostly from one of the best collections
ever assembled - that of George Fuerst. George is now gone, but
the legacy of the fabulous collection he assembled will live forever
in this reference. You cannot go wrong with this soft cover, 62-page
presentment.
(postpaid) $ 25.00
5) "WEARING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH" -
Volume III
This 100 page, soft cover format book, is a wonderful effort of
compiling period in-wear photographs. It is a booklet, that once
the cover is cracked opened, it becomes impossible to put down.
The photos really speak for themselves - all 100% clear, and all
previously unpublished. Every Wehrmacht Branch is shown wearing
standard examples, but then there are the "characters"
out there, that break the rules - these photos are always the
most interesting. There are some great shots of the rarest of
all examples being worn - the Goering grand appearances, Hitler,
Ribbentrop, Himmler, Raeder, Blomberg, Italian General Russo and
Mussolini, and many more. Lots of great SS photos of rare silver
swords, Honor degens and Chained SS. According to Tom Johnson,
he has been saving some of these photos for over 15 years, just
waiting for this opportunity to share them with the collecting
community. Well worth the nominal price. After all, this is the
way the daggers were built to look - in wear! $ 25.00
6) "WORLD WAR II GERMAN WAR BOOTY - Volume III".
Unquestionably, this latest 3rd volume is Tom's best effort with
War Booty material. Absolutely incredible stuff contained in these
118 pages. It's one of those "picture" books you start
out to scan for a minute, and two hours later, you're still at
it, and only half done! I mean the artifacts contained in this
volume are spell-binding. The rarest of the rare. Makes you wonder
how a lot of these vets pulled-off retaining many of these treasurers.
Included are many of the Army and US Government regulations -
word for word - on what you could send home and what you could
not. Seems to have made little difference, as some of the items
residing in collections today are really something to behold -
see it all in this book! Terrific effort! Includes photos Tom
has been "guarding" for years, just waiting for the
right time to expose them - this is it! Diamond Awards, Cased
Medals, Standartes, A.H. items, Honor Daggers, Swords and Miniatures.
Goblets, Guns Trophies and Porcelain. Silver Frames and Cigar
Cutters. Neck Chains and Gorgets. They are all here, along with
some of the greatest period photos showing WW II vets in action
- stashing, stuffing and showing-off their treasurers. Many Charles
Jenkins III, full-color photographs. Fabulous book for a nominal
price. You can't go wrong. $ 25.00
