Joachim von Ribbentrop Silverware

JVRSILVER #46603 Von Ribbentrop Dinner Fork

This Von Ribbentrop has the traditional formal political style eagle that was used for his diplomatic service.

The fork is 8 and quarter inches in length and has good tines.

The handle has a raised border with a couple of curves at the bottom area and the eagle is a half open wing type with the bird looking to the left and clutching a wreath with static swastika. The detail is extraordinary throughout this raised bird depiction.

The reverse of the fork is hallmarked with the crescent crown “925” and winged wheel.

I always find it interesting that Ribbentrop's dinnerware was of higher silver percentage than that of Hitler.

JVRSILVER #46604 Von Ribbentrop Dinner Spoon

This dinner spoon is in fine condition with good crisp edges around the dipping end of the spoon.

The handle has the raised edges typical of this design and at the bottom is the raised half open wing eagle with the bird looking to the left and clutching a wreath with static swastika. The detail is extraordinary throughout this raised bird depiction.

The reverse is hallmarked with the crescent eagle “925” and a winged wheel.

A lovely piece here certainly up to the standards of the diplomatic guests that he would be entertaining from time.
