I do not know what this Hitler Youth insignia was used for. There is no mounting mechanism on the reverse however it is marked, “RZM M1/47”. This bird is well detailed and appears to be gilt over brass base. The bird is about 2 /12-inches in length and has a height of about an inch and a quarter. This bird would be about the size that we would see with a cap insignia but without any trace of mounting on the back I do not think it is for this. Either way a great item to display with other Hitler Youth items.
