INSIGNIA #26200 SS NCO's Sleeve Eagle Insignia
This Sleeve
Eagle is the type that is a white cotton weave over a darker black
wool backing. The cotton eagle is beautifully detailed and it
looks to the viewers right with open wings and clutching
a mobile swastika. There are some threads remaining around the
edges and I suspect that this eagle was at one time removed from
an original uniform. The reverse of the eagle has paper-like material
which covers most of the weaved area. An absolute original example.

INSIGNIA #25352 Waffen SS Polizei Divisional Cloth Sleeve Badge

badge was worn by SS Polizei Division soldiers, when they returned
to their normal police duties. The patch was worn on the lower

the center. This diamond shaped insignia is identical to the one
shown on page 317, of the Angolia SS Insignia book. The reverse
of the badge reveals the burlap-style material, that served as
a base. This is a fairly rare, original insignia.

INSIGNIA #33440C Unidentified SA Diamond Insignia
This SA Insignia does not seem to be an any of my books, so I do not know what it was used for in the SA. The backing is a dark wool which appears to be black color, but could be a very deep blue. Woven to the obverse of the diamond wool is a very fine SA runes insignia. The weaving is extremely tight and very well done. The highlights of the runic symbol have been trimmed in black thread. The insignia is backed with a gray canvas-like material. This could be a key piece that someone has been looking for for a long time – at least I hope so.

This insignia consists of a wreath of oak leaves in the center with a cockade in the middle. The cockade has a black round ring, as well as a red center with alternating aluminum wings. Coming outward from the wreath are wings on each side. This winged cockade has the original two prongs on the reverse. It is perfectly angled to the shape of a cap. A very fine example here.

INSIGNIA #31269C Luftwaffe Winged Cockade
This Luftwaffe Winged Cockade has an aluminum finish, but the base metal must be zinc as it is heavier than an aluminum type would be. The cockade is in the center with the black and red circles alternating with aluminum circles. Around the cockade is a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, and coming out from both sides of the wreath are wings. The reverse of the insignia has a pair of brass prongs attached. The insignia is shaped to the curvature of the hat.

INSIGNIA #31460 Crossed Skis and Oak Leaves Insignia
I really don’t know what this set of skis represents, or even whether they are military, but I think they must be because of the oak leaves and acorns which are applied over the center area of the crossed skis. The detail throughout the depiction is really outstanding. The reverse has a safety pin style catch. This set of skis is finished almost in the category of jewelry – nice!

INSIGNIA #30828 Hitler Youth Insignia
I do not know what this Hitler Youth insignia was used for. There is no mounting mechanism on the reverse however it is marked, “RZM M1/47”. The insignia depicts the Hitler Youth eagle with swastika in relief on his breast and in his talons he holds a sword in the right one and a hammer in the left. This bird is well detailed and appears to be gilt over brass base. The bird is about 2 /12-inches in length and has a height of about an inch and a quarter. This bird would be about the size that we would see with a cap insignia but without any trace of mounting on the back I do not think it is for this. Either way a great item to display with other Hitler Youth items.

INSIGNIA #30947C Factory Werkshutz Protectin Service Badge
This service badge is a rarely seen item which is oval being about 4-inches high and 3-inches wide. The badge is of a hard wool cloth base having a grain running through it at about a 45 degree angle. There is an aluminum bullion cord which decorates the outside border. Inside done in a bullion weave is a depiction of a factory with smoke stacks, an office area at the entrance and a gearwheel below. Superimposed over the industrial look is a shield which has a black mobile swastika in the center. The swastika as well as the shield is decorated in very thin bullion cord. This is a rare patch which I have not seen before. The depiction on the front pretty much sums up the purpose of the patch.

INSIGNIA #30417 Hohenzollern Veteran's Club Insignia
I am not exactly sure what this insignia is but I do know that the Prussian crown as well as the Hohenzollern family crest and that is what appears in the center of the is insignia. It is a gilded brass design with an open-winged eagle atop the crown. Below the family crest is a set of crossed canon. There is a double band which no doubt tells the meaning of all this for those out there who may be able to translate it. “Krieger & Landwehr Verein / Hohenzollern Halberstadt”. This fine gilded brass insignia is attached to a round woolen device and on the reverse is a vertically running pin. I think that this may be a club that consists of possibly veterans who worked for the Kaiser’s family but I am not sure. I have never seen this insignia before and I think that it is quite interesting.
