This section contains examples of both DRA and DRL badges. The Deutscher Reichsausschuss für Olympische Spiele (DRA) "German Imperial Commission for Olympic Games", was the German Olympic Sports organization for the Summer Olympics of 1916. The Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen (NSRL), known as Deutscher Reichsbund für Leibesübungen (DRL) until 1938, was the umbrella organization for sports during the Third Reich.

There is a swastika at the bottom of the wreath. The reverse features a barrel hinge with straight pin and catch which is soldered to the badge.
It is interesting to note that other than the maker marking which is Werstein Jena there is also the owner’s monogram R. R. and also “612”. I don’t know what the 612 means but it must have had some significance to its original owner.
