B&B #43467C SS Enlisted Man's Belt & Buckle

This rigging was well used throughout the war and certainly speaks of its service time.

The 36 inch belt is black leather and shows age and wear, but remains sound. The belt is equipped with a notched leather slide which accommodates the buckle. There appears to be a period repair made with wire to keep this leather section intact.

The buckle is an unmarked steel type. It shows age, wear, and surface rust.

If you like battle-worn piece, are looking so something to go well with a weathered tunic this is the item for you.

Good. $495.00

B&B #43078 Black Leather Army Belt & Enlisted Man's Buckle

This belt shows some age and crazing on the black outer surface, but it remains serviceable. I don't see any markings. There is just a trace of green, wool-like fabric that may have covered the reverse surface at one time.

The two piece buckle is a standard EM example of cast aluminum. In the center is the slogan "Gott Mit Uns" set in rope-like borders, atop a wreath of oak leaves on a pebbled surface. A Wehrmacht eagle and swastika is in the very center. There is a slight ding on the center of the eagle. The reverse shows wear but remains serviceable.

B&B #42818 Forestry Official's Buckle

I believe this to be a Forestry Official's Buckle but I could be mistaken; it does not conform to the example that I seen in the books. Perhaps one of your knowledgable buckle collectors will be able to positively identify this piece. In any event it is original and most likely rare.

This oval buckle is constructed of aluminum, with raised oak leaves and acorns on the borders. The center is vaulted and pebbled. Applied to the center with three prongs (visible on the back) is a stubby-winged copper color Party eagle. This bird looks to the viewer's left and clutches a wreathed swastika. The detailing remains excellent on this bird.

The reverse surface of the buckle is marked "A".

An interesting example for the advanced collector here.

B&B #42632 Water Police Buckle & Belt

This is a relatively rare assembly here and should be quite desirable.

The buckle is rectangular and looks to be cast aluminum. It features a raised mobile swastika and the slogan "Gott Mit Uns" atop a wreath of oak leaves. The surfaces of the buckle are pebbled, with a gilded finish. This gilding shows wear to the raised edges of the swastika and to some of the letters in the slogan, but overall is about 98% intact.

The reverse is also gilded and maker marked "OLC" in a diamond.

The belt itself is brown leather, which some age cracks but still sound. It is a light tan. The end strap is stamped "90", which is most likely the size. The inner strap attached to the catch is stamped by a Dutch producer "J. de Valk Jr / Amsterdam", along with an eagle. I have seen this mark on Police frogs in the past. The catch is not gilded and is marked "ATH" in a circle.

B&B #37829 Under-the-tunic Webbed Sword Belt

This Sword Belt is of red webbing trimmed in brown leather. I am not sure what particular branch of service wore this belt, but perhaps it is red to denote an Artillery Officer.

It is interesting to note that the inside of the belt has an eight inch long leather trim strap, the purpose of which eludes me.

The belt is equipped with a stationary sword clip constructed out of brass and has a closed double opening. The buckle is a good brass example, and the leather tab is in good condition.

B&B #37038 Mining Official's Brown Belt with Extra Large Brass Buckle

This brown belt is still in fine condition throughout, and I do not see any markings on it.

The buckle is most unusual in that it is about 1/3 again as large as a normal buckle. It is constructed with a fine brass base with an applied set of mining hammers in the center. This is the first time I have seen a belt buckle like this one. The catch on leather belt is also of matching brass.

This, I believe, is quite a rare item and is certainly impressive.

Excellent Plus. $350.00

B&B #35991C Army NCO Buckle

This Army NCO Buckle is the style that was painted field green originally. Most of the green paint is gone from the aluminum pebbled finish on the obverse. About three quarters of the original paint still remains on the reverse of the buckle. This buckle is unmarked.

The obverse shows some mild wear to the pebbled finish. In the center are two round rope-like depictions which trap the slogan “Gott Mitt Uns” and a wreath of oak leaves. In the center is a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika. Most of the details from the breast area of the eagle are worn off. Overall, though, this is still a good buckle.

Excellent. $195.00

B&B #33716 Weimar/Early Third Reich Army NCO Belt/Buckle

This early Third Reich belt and buckle is quite interesting because of the stampings inside. The belt is a dark brown or black leather outside. Stamped on the inside area in two places is “2 PZ ABW. / II”. This stamping would obviously tie into a Panzer Abwehr unit. The Panzer Abwehr were the units which ran the large mobile guns designed to knock out tanks. The leather throughout this belt shows quite a bit of usage and some age but it is still all there. The rectangular buckle is the style with pebbled finish. It has the double rope-like circles raised out with the slogan in between, “Gott Mit Uns”. Below is a wreath of laurel leaves. In the center area is the raised out Weimar style eagle. The detail to the bird is still fairly good. I am sure that this is the original buckle that comes with this belt.

A great rigging here especially if you are outfitting a Panzer Abwehr mannequin.

Excellent Plus. $295.00

B&B #33524C Luftwaffe E.M. Buckle with Black Leather Tab

The buckle features a raised ellipse wreath of laurel leaves complete with berries. Inside there is a raised out area which projects a Luftwaffe eagle flying to the right. The bird is well detailed throughout and clutches a mobile swastika in his talons.

A fine Luftwaffe buckle and tab.

This plain double claw buckle has a gilded finish. It is the style which would have been worn by the SA. It features a rectangular shape with rounded corners and pebbled surfaces. Attached to one of the edges is the original issue tag. This tag is a manilla type, showing mild age, and a large double RZM circle on the reverse. The obverse has the printed German name for the double buckle “Zweidornschnalle”. Beneath this, is the standard terminology used by the RZM, and there is a printing of the line numbers, “416589”. The issue tag is held in place by a staple. This is a fine opportunity to acquire an un-issued buckle.

B&B #27084C Imperial Army Buckle With Small Colonial Banner

This Imperial buckle is in outstanding condition throughout. It is a rectangular enlisted man’s shape and is formed of a high quality brass base. In the center is a raised out nickeled portion which is circular. There are two circles which trap the raised out slogan “Gott mit Uns”. Below the slogan is a half wreath of laurel leaves. In the center is a Prussian crown with cross on the top. The crown is very nicely detailed. This buckle looks identical to the one that is shown on Page 64 of the Angolia belt book. Accompanying this buckle is a small little banner measuring 5½” x 3 ½”. It is double sided and depicts the German Colonial flag. The flag is shown in red, brown and white, having a Prussian eagle in the center. Beneath the flag is written “German West Afrikan Col.”. This buckle may or may not have come with this little flag, but this is the way that I received it. A nice example here with a rarely seen reference to the German colonies. We do not see many things from this period, as they were quite rare.

Excellent Plus. $250.00

B&B #28149 American Naval Belt Buckle and Sword Hanger Eyelets

This buckle and belt assembly appears to be of American Naval vintage, but I am not totally sure of this. The belt is a dark brown example, having dual rows of stitching in the center for strength. The belt has flaps that protect the uniform from brass eyelets made to carry the sword. There are two eyelets, one having a hook for regain wear of the sword.

The brass buckle is of round design, having overlapping oak leaves running throughout its border. At every quadrant there are crossed ribbons. There is a raised out area in the center, bordered by a rope design. The center area appears to show an American eagle holding an anchor in its talons. There are no markings on the belt or buckle.

A great rigging here if you have an early American Naval sword. The belt looks like it comes from maybe about 1900.

The detail to the eagle’s wings, talon and tail feather are all there. There is modest wear to the breast of the bird. This eagle is the type with downward tail. A nice example.

B&B #33152 Army NCO's Buckle

This aluminum buckle has a pebbled finish and it is the style that was painted an olive drab color. About 10% - 15% of the original olive drab paint is still in the recesses throughout the buckle’s surfaces. On the reverse, there is much more paint – probably about 50%.

This buckle shows some wear across the surfaces, which are pebbled. It features the two circles of rope motif fluted at the upper area and at the lower area features a wreath of oak leaves. The upper area has the raised out army motto “Gott Mit Uns”. In the center is a vaulted Wehrmacht eagle. The eagle faces to the viewer’s right and clutches a swastika in his talons. Excellent. $125.00

B&B #32221 Army EM Buckle

This Army EM buckle is a steel base. It has an excellent olive drab paint finish. I assume that the paint is original, as it certainly is old looking. It is hard to believe though that there is no wear to the paint, so possibly it could be an old re-paint or possibly a period re-paint. Maybe, in fact, it is original – I don’t know. This buckle displays two pressed out rope circles which have the motto “Gott Mit Uns” at the upper portion. The lower portion portrays a wreath of oak leaves. In the center is a Wehrmacht eagle which looks to the viewer’s right and clutches a swastika.

A good, basic Army example here.

Excellent. $150.00

B&B #32458 Political Leader's Buckle

This Political Leader's Buckle is the larger type and it is an aluminum base having gilded surfaces. The gilding shows just a tad of wear on the very high spots of the image but still is there at about 98%. The buckle is round and has a border of raised triple overlapping oak leaves and acorns. The center area is pebbled and has a raised out political eagle which looks to the viewer’s right and clutches a wreathed mobile swastika. There is a catch and hasp on the one side but no catch on the other.

The buckle is pebbled throughout and in the center area it has a raised out set of circles separated by ropes with a Wehrmacht eagle in the center. This bird looks to the viewer’s right and grasps a mobile swastika in his talons. There is some wear to the bird, but you can still see the bird’s eye, beak and some of its breast feathering. Within the ropes is the motto “Gott Mit Uns” and below this is a set of raised overlapping oak leaves with a ribbon in the center. The reverse of the buckle has a diamond with the initials “pc” as a maker mark. The tab is also maker marked and is dated “1938”. B&B #31445 Hitler Youth Belt Buckle

This Hitler Youth buckle is made of molded aluminum. It is a rectangular shape and has two raised out circles in the center. In between the circles is the Hitler Youth motto raised out. Unfortunately there is some wear to the buckle and the motto is difficult to read. The inside area has the Hitler Youth eagle which looks to the viewer’s right having half open wings and grasping a diamond which contains a mobile swastika. The bird and the HJ diamond also show wear to the surfaces. This is a buckle that certainly saw quite a bit of time looking out from the waist of its original owner.

The buckle is marked on the reverse, “RZM M 4/22”.

A good looking RAD piece here.

B&B #31201 Army Belt & Buckle

This army belt and buckle is quite interesting, as the belt is a nice rich brown color instead of the usual black that we see on army examples. The buckle itself has also been permanently sewn to the belt. It looks as though it was worn in this fashion for many years.

The buckle is the typical rectangular army NCO molded type. It has a pebbled finish and there is green paint in lots of the backgrounds as well as on the reverse of the buckle. The green paint is probably about 30% - 40%. The center of the buckle has two circular rope rings which enclose the slogan “Gott Mit Uns” and below this, a wreath of oak leaves. The center area features a Wehrmacht style eagle having half—closed wings and clutching a swastika. The breast feathering on the bird shows some wear but overall, it is not too bad.

In the center there is a raised out Wehrmacht half closed winged eagle which faces to the viewer’s right. The eagle grasps a mobile swastika in its talons. There is good detail remaining throughout this bird.

This enlisted man’s aluminum buckle is made of two piece construction.

The rectangular shape has the standard pebbled finish. The two roped lines are part of a separate piece which is held to the buckle base by a set of four tabs. The circles are rope-like. In the center of the circles it is lined and the HJ motto is at the top area. In the center of the circles is the Hitler Youth eagle which grasps a diamond with swastika in the center. This buckle has turned a flat gray color. On the reverse the catch is applied along with a squared base which is slightly higher than the inner buckle’s surface. This space though looks to be part of the casting. Also part of the casting is the raised out code, “RZM M4/46”.

This buckle is identical to the example that is shown in the Peter Nash Belt Buckle Book on page 290. A hard to find Hitler Youth buckle here and a good one for people collecting the different types.

Excellent. $125.00

B&B #29733 Luftwaffe NCO Buckle

This steel buckle is a rectangular shape and it has smooth surfaces throughout its outer areas. The ellipse features a wreath of overlapping laurel leaves, all with berries. The center area within the ellipse has a pebbled finish and features a vaulted Luftwaffe eagle which flies to the viewer’s right clutching a mobile swastika. There is minor age to the finish of this buckle and just slight wear to the highlights of the bird.

All in all, though, a good looking buckle that may have once had a blued finish.

There is an ellipse area which consists of a wreath of laurel leaves with berries. Within the ellipse, the area is vaulted outward and is pebbled. There is a Luftwaffe eagle in the center flying to the viewer’s right. The eagle grasps a mobile swastika in its talons.

B&B #29272C Luftwaffe Enlisted Man's Buckle

This Luftwaffe enlisted man’s buckle is a molded aluminum style, being the rectangular shape enlisted man’s variety.

The buckle has good pebbled finish throughout and in the center has a raised ellipse of triple overlapping laurel leaves. These leaves also have the berries. In the center the area is vaulted further outward with pebbled background and presents a Luftwaffe eagle flying to the viewer’s right grasping a mobile swastika in one of the talons. A good Luftwaffe buckle here.

This rectangular shaped buckle is a molded aluminum type. It has good pebbled finish throughout. The center area features double circles which are lined with rope engravings. A solid basic example here.

B&B #28934C Naval EM Buckle

This rectangular shaped Enlisted Man’s buckle is a steel base, having a fine, dark gray, painted color. The buckle depicts a double set of roped circles, which trap the slogan, “Gott mit uns.” At the bottom of the circle is a double set of overlapping oak leaves. In the center is a vaulted Wehrmacht style eagle clutching a mobile style swastika. Most of the detail is still there in the bird. On the reverse of this buckle, is marked “JFS.”

B&B #22455C Gold Prison Official's Buckle

This rarely seen belt buckle appears to be identical to the one in Angolia buckle book, page 454, center. It is made of an aluminum base construction and has a giled finish. The gilding is worn a littlebit on the high points, but it still remains at least at 98% intact.

This round buckle has a vaulted overlapping wreath of laurel leaves. There are berries throughout these leaves, seemingly in the same pattern as the Angolia book piece. There is a beaded circle on the inside rim of the wreath which separates the beveled center of the buckle. Here, there is a raised out open winged eagle which looks to the viewer's left. This eagle has a checkered breast and grasps a wreath with a mobile swastika in its talons. The detail is slightly better than the piece shown in the book.

This unmarked example is identical (in the back) to the book piece. It is of two piece construction. An extremely rare buckle which will be missing from most collections. Would be great displayed with a Justice Official's sword.

Excellent Plus. $895.00
