ACCOUT&P #47003 Early Black Leather SS sword Portepee

This sword portepee is in extremely fine condition having been on a sword but it shows no wear and is still newlike in appearance.

The porteppe has black leather strapping to which are sewn three triple sets of wire that run the length. The slide is of woven leather being decorated with bullion wire. The stem is the flatter type and has a crochetlike covering showing the metal beneath. The lower ball is a conventional type with bullion cap and bullion lower end having a cat’s anus style black stuff.

These are the knots that we frequently encounter on early silver SS swords that were worn prior to the institution of the degen in 1936. An outstanding knot to add to your existing silver SS sword.

Mint. $350.00

ACCOUT&P #46883C Railway Official Bayonet Portepee

This portepee is ultra rare and something that I have only seen a few times in the past.

The portepee was worn with bayonets that were specifically for railway officials. The bayonet itself is a standard army style bayonet but the portepee told the difference. I know this as I acquired two railway bayonets from a veteran family many years ago both of which had these portepees attached to the frogs. I have never forgotten it over the years and I am delighted to be able to offer this example.

The strapping is a light tan color with texturing throughout and it is decorated with two black lines that run the length. The slide and the stem are of matching bullion type material and have black “v” designs running through it. The cap is of black material and the lower ball is matching tan material. The insert below matches the strapping.

A great original knot that is extremely rare and appears unissued.

Mint. $895.00

ACCOUT&P #45747 Army NCO Sword Troddel

This sword troddel would have been the type that would have been worn with a NCO sword. We also see these on army bayonets occasionally but usually when we have the leather straps such as these are they were prescribed for swords.

The leather strapping is a green color and is in good supple pristine condition. Attached to the straps at the bottom is a slide of matching woven leather and the ball features the green cap with aluminum speckles and aluminum bullion below. The stuffing matches the cloth strapping that we usually see on NCO bayonet troddels.A very nice example here perfect if you have an NCO army you're looking to complete.
