ACCOUT&P #44902C National Hunting Association Cutlass Portepee

This portepee remains in unissued condition still having the original tie strings around the strapping.

The portepee has aluminum textured bullion strapping with twin green lines that run the length. The slide below is of woven green thread and bullion thread the stem is the style which is crochet like over a steel base and the oval ball is of all bullion. The stuffing is the "cat's anus" style being of green thread.

A fine portepee here to display with your hunting cutlass. Hunting portepees are very difficult to obtain so this is a rare opportunity to complete your cutlass.

ACCOUT&P #44904C SS Black Strapped Degen Portepee

This portepee is very very difficult to obtain and very desirable. It appears to have the original tie strings still around it.

The strapping is of all textured black fabric having dual sets of tan lines that run the length of the strapping. The slide is of woven black fabric and the stem below is curved on both sides being a tan color and on each side there is a black circle which contains a set of SS runes. The cap of the ball below is of black woolen yarn link material and below is aluminum bullion that is also in a tan color.

The insert at the bottom matches the black strapping.

For years these knots have been called SS NCO degen portepees but this of course is incorrect as if this were the case we would see lots of them which we do not. I show in my book a group of SD personnel at a shooting contest and each individual is wearing one of these knots. I also show in my book a SS man wearing one of these rare knots around the vertical hanger of his dagger. It is my opinion that these knots are connected to the Siecherheitsdeinst. Whatever the true pedigree of them it is for certain that they are very rare to obtain and an extremely desirable SS accoutrement.

ACCOUT&P #44636 Unidentified Silver Bullion Black Trimmed Sword Portepee

This sword portepee is quite good looking and is definitely German produced. I have never seen one like it before and do not know its pedigree. It has a sort of SS look to it but then again I have never seen a portepee like this worn with an SS degen or sword.

The strapping is of all textured silver bullion having twin black lines that run throughout the strapping. The slide is of all woven bullion trimmed in "v" designs which are turned to the side. The same type of bullion and black v designs trim the stem of the portepee. The knot is a typical German silver bullion type with stuffing of a black velvet.

A great looking portepee but anyone's guess as to its purpose.

Near Mint. $225.00

ACCOUT&P #44506C 42cm Aluminum Naval Portepee

At first glance this 42cm aluminum Naval Portepee looks the same as an Army example, however it differs by virtue of having a thread-type insert.

The cordage of the portepee remains in good condition, showing some minor wear but free of fraying. The slide and stem are in similar condition, showing some minor period wear but in good shape overall.

The lower ball is bullion, with a "cat's anus" style stuffing of thread.

A great Naval knot here.

Excellent. $225.00

ACCOUT&P #44508C Rural Police Troddel

This Rural Police Troddel has unfrayed black cloth strapping accented with bullion stitches. There is stitching of red running down the center of each strap.

The slide on this example has been lost to time. There is a small remnant clinging on, but that is it.

The lower ball is bullion with highlights of green thread, with a green thread insert.

A decent example here.

Good. $100.00

ACCOUT&P #44507C Large Black Leather Portepee

This large portepee could be Third Reich or Imperial; I'm not sure.

The straps are quite thick and the black leather remains sound. They are decorated with three gold stitches that run the length.

The slide is woven black leather trimmed with bullion. The large oval ball is made entirely of bullion, with an insert of black thread.

It is possible that this knot could be used on an early SS Degen or, as I say, it is also possible it was used on some type of Imperial sword.

Near Mint. $250.00

ACCOUT&P #44510C Unissued NCO's Troddel

This NCO's Troddel remains in unissued condition, complete with the original tie string wrapped about it.

The troddel is equipped with green textured cloth strapping with three bullion lines on each edge.

The stem and slide on this troddel are done in a tight bullion "V" weave.

The ball cap is green and bullion cloth, with the ball being bullion. The ball insert matches the green strapping.

A very fine, unissued example here.

Mint. $135.00

ACCOUT&P #44467 Baden Police Bayonet Troddel

The Baden Police Bayonet is a huge weapon and only rarely encountered these days. The troddel itself is ultra-rare. If you are lucky enough to have one of these Baden pieces and you are lacking the troddel now is the chance to complete your weapon.

This troddel is equipped with a yellow textured cotton strapping having twin lines of red stitching running the length. The strapping shows some minor usage but overall is in fine condition. The slide is an interesting example, having a gold-like covering with a red rectangular insert. The stem is yellow over gold metal.

The ball is a fairly large oval, with a yellow cap highlighted in red, along with stripes of red and yellow bullion. The insert matches the strapping.

A very rare knot here, in nice condition.

Excellent Plus. $795.00

ACCOUT&P #44358 Enlisted Man's Bayonet Troddel

This troddel has light green textured cotton strapping.

This strapping is in choice condition throughout, with no fraying, tears, or other issues.

The slide of this troddel has been lost to time.

The stem and ball cap are of white material and the lower ball matches the lighter green color of the strapping, as does the insert.

A nice troddel here, in a rarely seen color pattern.

Excellent. $110.00

ACCOUT&P #44359 NCO's Bayonet Troddel

This NCO's Bayonet Troddel is the style with green leather strapping.

The leather remains sound and in nice condition, something unusual to see on something subject to tying and friction.

The troddel slide is made of woven leather and the lower ball has a green cap with bullion speckles.

The lower portion is of bullion thread with an insert of green cloth with dual silver lines. This is the same cloth that we see used on NCO troddels that have cloth strapping.

Avery nice example here.

Excellent Plus. $135.00

ACCOUT&P #44174C Fireman's Bayonet Troddel

This troddel has been on a Fireman's Bayonet but still has lots of life to it, with no rotting on the leather.

The black leather strapping is decorated with triple gold stitching.

There is a slide at the bottom which is made of woven leather with good gold bullion highlights. The lower ball alternates in color between bullion and pink thread.

The ball insert is made of pink threads and remains in good condition.

A great knot for you Fire Bayonet.

Excellent. $150.00

ACCOUT&P #44173C Unissued Police Portepee

This Police Portepee is in unissued condition, still having the pair of original factory tie strings binding it up.

The black leather strapping remains sound. Stitched on the face of the straps are stripes of aluminum with a red center stitch. The slide is made of woven black leather with red and bullion highlights.

The lower ball is bullion with a red, black, and white stuffing.

The perfect portepee for your police degen or bayonet here.

Mint. $175.00

ACCOUT&P #28532 Unidentified Sword Portepee

This Sword Portepee is a real beauty but I do not know its vintage or its intended purpose.

The portepee is complete with the original factory tie string. It is made of very fine textured silver bullion strapping with trimmed in green thread. The slide, stem, and cap are all aluminum bullion with green "V" weave.

The lower ball is bullion with a stuffing that matches the strapping.

A great looking mystery knot here. It could be Imperial but does have a Third Reich look to it.

Mint. $100.00

ACCOUT&P #26749 British Naval Sword Portepee

This sword portepee is of gold bullion fabric, having two black decorative stripes that run the length.

The lower area has a slide consisting of black and gold bullion which matches a pinecone shaped lower ball, also made of the same weaved material.

I believe that this is a knot for a British naval sword and would look terrific if you have a nice example.

The knot shows age but is in unissued condition.

Mint. $150.00

ACCOUT&P #37501 Fireman's Bayonet Troddel

This troddel shows usage but the leather remains basically sound.

The straps are decorated with triple rows of gold wire stitches.

The slide is woven leather and the stem is woven aluminum over a metal base.

A good Fireman's example here.
