ACCOU - 190 - 19573 - GREY WOOLEN DAGGER STORAGE BAG
This fine grey
woolen storage bag measures about 19 inches in length and the
top part is 5 and 1/2 inches wide. It is equipped with a zipper
at the top. The zipper has come loose from one side of the tabs,
but this could probably be fixed easy enough. This bag has no
moth holes and is really in great condition. The bottom portion
is reinforced with a dark blue leather. I would think that this
bag was meant to hold a Second Model Luftwaffe dagger. A good
opportunity here to dress up your mint Luftwaffe example.
Near Mint $325.00
ACCOU - 191 - 18343 - GREEN WOOLEN DAGGER STORAGE BAG
This fine dagger
storage bag is made of a dark green wool. The edges are trimmed
with a grey binding material which is sewn to the wool. This bag
measures 18 inches overall. It has a drawstring top and the edges
have the pinching shear cut. This bag also has the name of its
producer printed in red on a cloth tag sewn to the bottom. The
name is Lindemann Ohg/Wetter (Ruhr). The color of
this bag would indicate to me that it was for the storage of a
Land Custom Officials dagger, but I could be wrong.
Mint Minus $325.00
ACCOU - 192 - 15024 - RUST COLOR WOOLEN SWORD STORAGE BAG
This fine sword
storage bag is in full mint condition. It is a rust-colored wool
which has a lighter color brown binding fabric sewn around the
edges. At the top, it has the pinching shear cut and the original
drawstring is present. This bag measures slightly over 37 inches
and would be perfect for a choice condition Luftwaffe Generals
Degen. A real beauty here.
Mint $400.00
ACCOU - 193 - 20042 - BROWN WOOLEN SWORD STORAGE BAG
This woolen
sword storage bag is a fine deep brown color, and it has only
a couple of nominal moth tracks in its surfaces. There is only
one tiny hole and that is near the bottom area. This sword bag
is sewn on all the edges with fabric reinforcement. The top area
has the pinching shear cut. The original drawstring is weaved
through the holes. There is brown leather reinforcement which
shows age, but is still there at the bottom tip of this storage
bag. This bag measures overall, forty inches in length and would
be good for any Army sword.
Excellent Plus Plus $295.00
ACCOU - 195 - 5609 - GREY WOOLEN SWORD STORAGE BAG WITH MATCHING GREY WOOLEN UNDER THE TUNIC HARNESS
This is a great
sword bag and harness outfit which was meant to be together. I
think the pair would have been used with a Diplomatic sword. The
grey woolen bag is in good shape throughout, having some moth
tracks, but no holes. There is one cut near the edge about 2 inches
down from the drawstring, but it is only an inch wide and was
not done by bugs. This sword bag measures 41 inches in length
and has the pinching shear top with grey drawstring. The bag is
reinforced on the edges with a silk binding cloth. Accompanying
the bag, is a matching woolen over-the-shoulder, under-the-tunic
sword harness. The harness has a buckle which adjusts its length.
Attached to the harness is a brown leather teardrop accoutrement
which is fitted with an aluminum coated, pebbled snap clip. The
snap clip is marked on the back A and DRGM.
The back of the teardrop leather is also lined with wool matching
the bag as well as the harness. A very beautiful combination here
and possibly one of a kind. If you have a Diplo sword you are
displaying, this would make for a great package.
Excellent Plus Plus $500.00
ACCOU - 196 - 4538 - GREY WOOLEN DAGGER STORAGE BAG WITH HANGER SLOT
This dagger
bag measures about 16 and 1/2 inches. It is of grey wool and is
in good condition throughout, having some moth tracks on both
sides but no holes. The bag is stitched on all three seams and
at the top it has a working zipper. Looking inside, there is a
separate pouch which has been made to accommodate a set of hanging
straps. This bag looks like it would be good for a RAD Officer/Government
Official or nice Army dagger. A fine example here! Excellent Plus

ACCOU - 197 - 24717 - BROWN WOOLEN SWORD STORAGE BAG
This woolen
sword storage bag is a lighter color brown color, and it shows
almost no mothing, being in fine condition. The seams are all
sewn throughout the three sides, the bottom having extra stitches
put in for strength. The top of the bag is cut straight and it
is equipped with a drawstring fed through its holes. This bag
measures 42 inches and would accommodate a good long Army Officer
sword. A fine bag here.
Excellent Plus Plus $295.00
ACCOU - 198 - 24718 - FIELD GREEN ARMY OFFICER SWORD STORAGE BAG
This Army Sword
bag is a beautiful field green/grey color. It is in choice condition,
having no mothing and still fairly stiff. The bottom has been
reinforced with green leather which remains in perfect condition.
The edges are all sewn and at the top there is a pinching shear
crimp. The original grey color drawstring is in place. This would
be a fantastic bag to display a mint Field Marshall sword or any
special sword from the German army you may have in your collection.
Near Mint $400.00
ACCOU - 201 - 16021 - BROWN WOOLEN SWORD STORAGE BAG
This woolen
storage bag is in choice condition, having no moth holes and being
a lighter brown color. It is fashioned differently from many,
in that there is no reinforcement at the bottom, but it also looks
as though it was folded over at this point, with the edges sewn
up the sides. The bag has a flap at the top which folds over with
two working snaps. This bag measures 38 inches in length and would
be a fine example for a nice Army sword. Lots of condition here
and a beautiful display item.

ACCOU - 202 - LUFTWAFFE HANGERS WITH UNUSUAL WHITE BACKING
This set of
Luftwaffe hangers features deluxe fittings throughout. They have
the raised out oak leaves on the top clip, as well as the deluxe
push-up snaps at the bottom. The buckles and slides are the standard
types seen on Luft hangers, featuring raised out oak leaves. The
straps are retained by fold-over metal tabs. These tabs are also
stamped with oak leaves on the obverse and are retained by rivets.
The brocade fronts are the standard gray style, having dual lines
of brocade running throughout the length. The reverse though,
is most interesting, as instead of the normal style velvet, they
are done in a white velvet material. This is not something, which
has faded over the years or turned color. It is easy to see these
straps are white beneath all of the areas where they are folded
at the buckle reverse. I have handled literally hundreds of Luftwaffe
straps and this is the first set I have encountered with these
white backings. It is always possible that someone grabbed the
wrong material when they were made but I tend to think that they
could have been designated for Herman Göring Division usage.
This of course is only speculation but they sure would look great
suspended with a uniform from this elite division. These straps
show only minor usage and still look great. They measure 10 ½-inches
overall. Excellent Plus (21810) $295.00
ACCOU - 204 - DIPLO / GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL HANGERS
These hangers
are the herring bone style and are the early blue-backed type.
They measure 10 ½-inches at the longest strap. The brocade
shows minor age in the surfaces, but basically, they are still
in good condition. The reverse velvet is the deep blue color showing
only minor wear. The upper snap clip is an aluminum plain style.
It shows some wear at the top of the clip commensurate with the
condition of the straps. The buckles and slides are the silvered
type and they feature vaulted oak leafing. The lower snaps are
the push-in plain style having silvered surfaces.
The silvering is worn from the areas where the dagger would have
hooked in. All in all, though, a good set of authentic straps
which will go great with an excellent plus condition dagger.
Excellent Plus (21982) $1,995.00
ACCOU - 205 - DELUXE BROWN LEATHER UNIDENTIFIED RAD STYLE HANGERS
This set of
hanging straps at first glance appear to be RAD officer, but I
think it is possible they could be the elusive Government Official
"work" straps. These straps are in mint condition measuring
slightly over 10 ½-inches in length. This is a long length
for RAD but not for Government Official. The straps are a tan
leather exactly like we see on RAD and they have a gray felt backing.
Unfortunately some moths have gotten to the felt, but there is
still plenty there, and it remains at approximately 70% overall.
These still mint conditioned straps are retained to the upper
hardware via folded over tabs. These silvered tabs are rivet held
and both have stamped oak leaf designs, and "DRGM" also
stamped into the top folded section of each. They are folded over
a closed pebbled box clip, identical to the type used for RAD
Officer hangers. The buckles are the part which makes me think
these could be Diplomatic Work Straps. The buckles are not the
standard pebbled type. They are rectangular but have the raised
oak leaf design we see used with Government Official and Diplomatic
straps, as well as, Luftwaffe. It is certainly possible that these
straps were just finished this way due to a factory error, but
somehow I don't think so. The slides and lower snaps are the deluxe
type normally used for RAD. They have pebbled surfaces and are
the push-up style. Each snap clip is stamped on the
back, "DRGM". These straps are very similar to the ones
shown in Johnson Volume I, page 76 and 77, except they are longer
and the buckles are different. A good one for someone out there
that is adventuresome and likes things a bit different. Whatever
these hangers are, they are absolutely original and of the period.
Mint (20482) $995.00
ACCOU - 213 - SS OFFICER BROCADE DEGEN SLING STRAP
This sling
strap is one of the essentials if you want to complete your SS
Officer's sword. This strap measures 14 ½-inches overall
and is identical to the one I show on page 639, center, or 640,
left, of my SS Book. The top section of the strap consists of
a black leather belt loop, which is attached to a brass style
wire with eyelet. Attached to the eyelet is a regain chain used
to secure the sword and keep it steady while marching. The sling
section is, in turn, attached to the brass-like wire section.
It is made of a black leather which is stitched along both edges.
The obverse has a beautiful silver brocade which has fine textured
designs identical to the book pieces. At the lower area is a large
silver plated buckle and hasp. Behind this, is a snap clip which
is marked with an anchor and a letter, "S", superimposed.
This is a textbook SS Officer sling and a real beauty here. These
do not come up too often, so I suggest you grab the opportunity
here.
Mint Minus (22379) $995.00
ACCOU - 218 - RAD OFFICER DELUXE HANGERS
These RAD hangers
have fine brown / tan leather throughout. They show some mild
usage but no abuse and the leather is still very sound with no
signs of any rot. The reverse of these straps are covered in a
gray velvet material. The right leg of the hanger is still perfect
and the left leg has a little minor moth damage but it is not
bad. These straps are retained with folded medal tabs at the top
which are riveted. The tabs are attached to a closed box clip
which has a pebble finish. The pebbling matches that of the square
buckles and slides. The lower snaps are the deluxe push-up style
having oak leaf raised out designs on the obverse. The reverse
of these snaps is marked, "DRGM". This set of straps
is identical to the ones shown on page 76 and 77 of Johnson I
with the exception his piece has sewn leather tops whereas this
example has the deluxe rarely seen fold over tabs. A very fine
set of hangers which would go great with a choice RAD officer's
dagger.
Near Mint (22568) $750.00
ACCOU - 228 - RLB OFFICER HANGERS
This set of
RLB Officer hangers is as fine as you will see. They measure just
about 11-inches overall and the blue black leather still remains
new-like and in supple condition. This leather has four stitch
patterns which run its length. It is the best set of RLB hanging
straps I have seen in many years. The fittings are the standard
type that we see. The upper snap clip is a pebbled surface variety
still having about 95% of its silvering. Is marked on the back
with the RZM markings, "M5/10". It is also "DRGM"
marked. The oval buckles have the unique RLB oak leaves, as do
the slides. The silvering is nearly perfect on this hardware also.
The deluxe snaps are the push-up type, having oak leaf decoration
and being marked, "DRGM" on the reverse. Even the snaps
have at least 95% of the original silvering. This condition is
very rare to see today and for someone having a near mint to full
mint conditioned RLB 2nd Model Officer these hangers would be
a must.

ACCOU - 230 - EARLY STYLE RAD HEWER HANGER
This
is the initial production style hanger and it is a black color.
It is about 5 ¾-inches in length and is set up to carry
the RAD hewer from the "U" fitting of the upper scabbard.
The bottom portion of this hanger threads through the "U"
fitting and then is buckled into place with a plated hasp and
buckle. The original retaining leather loop is also in place.
This is a fine hanger showing only minor age and is identical
to the hanger being worn by the RAD man on the cover of Johnson's
First In Wear Book.
Near Mint (23087) $375.00
ACCOU - 239 - FORESTRY CUTLASS TRODDEL
This Forestry
Cutlass Troddel consists of aluminum bullion strapping which is
decorated with twin green lines. These lines are wider than the
ones associated with the hunting knot. There is a slide which
consists of green and aluminum bullion weaved material and a flat
crochet like stem. The lower ball is ovaled and made of bullion.
It has green, yarn-like stuffing in the cat's anus pattern. This
knot shows some age and has been on a cutlass. However, there
is no fray, and overall the knot is in excellent condition. It
is ready to finish the look of your Forestry piece.
Excellent Plus (23806) $195.00
ACCOU - 246 - RAD OFFICER DELUXE HANGERS
This
set of RAD Officer hanging straps has the deluxe hardware exactly
like the example shown in the Johnson Accoutrement Book on page
35. The only difference between the hangers is the fact that
the book example has metal retaining tabs and these do not. The
hardware, however, is the brass-based variety which has pebbled
decoration throughout the top closed clip, the square buckles,
the slides, and the lower snaps. This hardware also has a slight
golden glow to it. The straps are an appealing tan color leather,
which still remains in perfect supple condition. There is no
rot evident in this leather. The straps are also decorated with
a lined edge which runs the length of both edges. The reverse
is also done in a leather finish, albeit somewhat rougher texture.
This is an outstanding set of deluxe straps which will go well
on your RAD officer.
