ACCOU #33396 Imperial Naval Shooting Lanyard
This Imperial Shooting Lanyard is the first example I have had from the Kaiser’s time. It is of slightly smaller proportion than the Third Reich types but follows the basic format. The cords are braided and they appear to be a red and black with bullion color tone. There is a loop on one end with a snap clip and there is also a slide behind the loop. On the other end there is a key ring like catch having two slides which trap in between a Kaiser crown over the capital letter “W” with Roman numeral “II” below. There is also a wreath around this cipher. This insignia is gilded which indicates that this lanyard was used for the imperial navy. Beneath the insignia are two acorns which have to do with the significance of the award. I believe this to be quite a rare item and it would be a fine feature with a nice imperial naval dagger.

ACCOU #33577C RAD Officer Hangers
This set of RAD Officer Hanger is apparently by a producer we do not see too often as the leather is a slightly brighter color than normal and also the mounts are of a more deluxe nature. The leather straps area very rich brown still being in outstanding condition. The rich color extends to the reverse of the straps. These hangers measure a little over 9 ½-inches in length which is slightly longer than the normal type. The hardware is quite beautiful here having a bronze like tint to everything. The upper snap clip is a pebbled surface type on the obverse and smooth on the reverse. The rectangular buckles have matching pebbled surfaces which also extend to the slides below. The snap clips are the deluxe type having the “push-up” style snap. These snaps have oak leaf and acorn decoration on the obverse and are marked on the reverse “DRGM”. An extremely fine set of RAD hangers here which would really go well on a near mint to mint officer’s piece.
Near Mint. $895.00
ACCOU #33579C RAD Bullet Hanger
This RAD Bullet Hanger is the long type that is complete with a belt loop. The belt loop is retained by a wire-like fitting which makes it permanent to the lower section. This bullet hanger is of all matching black leather on the obverse. The leather has quite a bit of attic crazing throughout its surfaces but it is still sound. It is interesting to note that the exact copy of the RAD complicated scabbard designs is pressed into the lower part of the bullet style section. This pressed in design occurs when the heavy hewer is laying on this leather and there is a hundred degree heat in the attic. It makes for an interesting design here on this hanger. The snap clip is a heavy nickel type being unmarked on the reverse. The reverse of this hanger is black leather except for the lower bullet section which is a brown color. It looks as though at one time there was a felt covering over this brown leather but only traces of it remain. Still a nice example here to put with your RAD hewer.
Excellent. $495.00
ACCOU #33126 Army Officer Hanger with Metal Tabs
This set of Army Officer’s Hangers are of fine quality manufacture. The upper closed clip has fine oak leaf and acorn motif with the top being marked, “DRGM”. The straps are retained by folded over and riveted metal tabs. On the obverse these tabs have been stamped with acorn and oak leaf motif. The lower hardware is the silvered zinc type having over buckles with oak leaves and matching slides. The lower snaps are the “push-in” pebble type. Most of the plating is still on these mounts. The straps have the typical textured brocade fronts. There is some minor wear and a little bit of fraying noticeable on the right strap. The reverse of both straps show some minor wear to the velvet pile. A good set of army hangers here for an excellent plus dagger.
Excellent. $195.00
ACCOU #22059 Deluxe Army Officer Hangers with Metal Tabs
This set of Deluxe Army Officer Straps are fairly long measuring almost eleven inches. The upper closed box clip has the deluxe raised out oak leaves and acorns and at the top is marked, “DRGM”. The straps are retained by a pair of metal tabs which are retained by rivets. These tabs are oak leaf stamped on the obverse side and they are also “DRGM” marked in the upper portion of each tab. There are traces of silvering still present on these tabs. The hardware of the straps is the typical pot metal type having silver plated finish. The plating on the left oval buckle is mostly gone but still looks pretty good on the rest of the hardware. These buckles feature overlapping oak leaves along with a matching motif on the slides. The lower snaps are the deluxe type having “push-up” type levers. The brocade on the front is still mostly clean showing only minor age. This brocade has a pleasing texture to its surfaces. The reverse is covered in high pile velvet showing some nominal wear but nothing worn through. A nice set of high quality army hangers.
Excellent Plus. $225.00
ACCOU #15306 Army Horseshoe-Topped Hangers
This set of Army Horseshoe Hangers is almost eleven inches long. The top area is the one piece unit that is in the shape of horseshoe and has raised out oak leafing with acorn motif. The fitting is attached to the brocade straps via two rivets. The silvering has turned somewhat dark but appears to still be there. The hardware below also is mostly darkened but appears to have silvering intact. The oval buckles and slides feature overlapping oak leaves. The snaps are the deluxe type with oak leaf decoration having “push-up” style snaps. The brocade has good texturing and shows only nominal age. The reverse of the straps is covered in high pile green velvet. This velvet shows some modest wear with a little bit of wear through at the center section but I don’t see any fraying. A pretty good set of hangers here which would go nice with an excellent to excellent plus dagger.
Excellent. $225.00
ACCOU #17842 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers is still in outstanding condition. These hangers have the closed block top clip which is the type with no decoration on the surfaces. The oval buckles are quite beautiful having all silvering still remaining to the overlapping oak leaves. The slides below, oddly enough, do not have the silvering on them. The snap clips are the type that are the “push-in” variety and have pebbled surfaces. These snap clips still have quite a bit of the original silvering on them. The brocade itself is still nearly new-like being bright and free of any soiling. The reverse has the field green deep pile velvet showing little to no wear. An extremely nice set of army hangers that may have been worn a few times only.
Near Mint. $195.00
ACCOU #29744 Army Horseshoe-Topped Hangers
This set of Army Horseshoe Hangers is still in nice condition throughout. These hangers measure nearly 11-inches in length. The upper bracket is in the shape of a horseshoe, thus the name. This bracket is silvered having about 60-70% of the original finish. The hardware features raised oak leaf and acorn sprigs. At the reverse upper area it is patent pending marked, “DRGM”. The oval hangers and slides are decorated with overlapping oak leaves. There is about 20-30% of the silvering remaining here. The snap clips are the deluxe version having the “push-up” option. These snaps match the rest of the hardware. The brocade shows some minor usage but no wear to the fronts. The reverse has the high pile field green velvet and there is little wear to this material. A good decent set of horseshoe hangers.
Excellent Plus. $195.00
ACCOU #20615 Luftwaffe Officer Metal Tab Hangers
This set of Luftwaffe Officer Hangers is fitted with the fold-over metal tabs which are retained by rivets holding the brocade. These tabs are stamped with oak leaves on the obverse and above the leaves each tab is stamped with the patent pending mark, “DRGM”. The upper clip is a plain type which has no marking. The rectangular buckles and slides have an oak leaf motif. The bottom snaps are the “push-in” type having pebbled surfaces. These snaps are still very crisp. The brocade is a fine gray purple color being in perfect condition and having twin sets of aluminum stripes running the length. The reverse of the brocade has high pile velvet being a gray color. The velvet shows very little wear. A fine set of Luftwaffe hangers here which measure about 10 ½-inches.
Excellent Plus. $250.00
ACCOU #29537 Luftwaffe Officer Hangers with Unusual Leather Tops
This set of Luftwaffe Hanging Straps measures about 10-inches overall. The upper clip is the deluxe type having raised out oak leaf and acorn decoration. On the reverse they are maker marked, “RZM U.E.10”. The upper portion of the straps are retained to the snap clip via leather tabs. The leather tab on the left strap is about twice as big as the one on the right strap. It does however look to be an original installation. Perhaps this was done as a way to steady the swing or wear of the straps – I don’t know as this is the first set I have seen like this. This is definitely not a period repair as the straps do not show any wear of consequence. The hardware below consists of the rectangular buckles with raised oak leaves and matching snaps below. The snap clips are the deluxe type with the “push-up” feature. They are decorated with oak leaf and acorn sprigs and on the reverse are DRGM marked. The brocade is a fine dark gray / purple color having twin lines of aluminum stripes on both straps. The brocade is in excellent condition with no soiling or stains. The reverse straps are covered in high pile gray velvet showing little wear. An interesting set of hangers here that show very little usage.
Excellent Plus. $195.00
ACCOU #29740 Luftwaffe Deluxe Hangers
This set of Deluxe Luftwaffe Hangers has the buckles and slides that were produced by a small maker and we do not see them very often. The buckles are slightly more narrow and more detailed than the normal type. These straps measure about 11-inches overall. The upper clip is a plain type which is DRGM marked in the cast on the reverse and also has a capital “A” standing for the Assmann hardware producer. The buckles as cited above are nicely detailed matching the slides with the oak leaf motif. The snap clips are the deluxe type having “push-up” style snaps and oak leaf and acorn sprig decoration on the obverse. The reverse of each of these snaps is also decorated with the Assmann “A”. The brocade snaps are a fine blue purple color having twin aluminum lines running the length. The reverse of the brocade is covered in high pile gray velvet. This set of hangers shows only the most modest of usage. It is a rarely seen type.
Near Mint. $250.00
ACCOU #15206C Luftwaffe Deluxe Hangers with Metal Tabs
This set of Deluxe Luftwaffe Hangers has a couple of very rarely seen variations. The straps are just about 10-inches overall. The first unusual aspect is the snap clip. This snap clip has a motif featuring two large oak leaves with acorns instead of the variation of oak leaves normally seen on these straps. Below the snap on the closed box clip there are also sets of oak leaves in the center and also on the two upper corners. The reverse of the snap clip is blank. I show this clip on a set of hangers on page 327, far right, of my Luftwaffe book. Connected to the lower box clip are two fold-over tabs which retain the brocade hangers. The tabs are oak leaf stamped and each one has the patent pending stamping, “D.R.G.M.” on the top section. These fold-over tabs are equipped with rivets for the brocade retainage. The lower buckles and slides are the smaller type that is seldom seen having more detail to the oak leaves. The “push-up” deluxe style snaps have the oak leaf sprigs on the obverse with no markings on the reverse. The brocade is still nice and fresh on the front with no soiling and no wear. This gray purple brocade has good texturing and features twin aluminum braided lines that run the length. The reverse of the straps is covered with a gray high pile velvet. The straps show a little bit of wear over the surfaces of the velvet but it is nothing that shows on the front and there is no fraying. An interesting set of hangers here with seldom seen hardware. If there are collectors of Luftwaffe hangers out there I would think that this set would be held in high regard.
Excellent Plus. $275.00
ACCOU #33600C Postal Protection Official’s Portepee
This Postal Protection Dagger Portepee is one of the rarest of all the Third Reich knots. The dagger is one of the toughest to find so just imagine the scarcity of a proper portepee! This portepee has been on a dagger and does show some mild wear and a couple of places where there is just the tiniest bit of fray. However, when the dagger is once again installed on a proper dagger I’m sure it will look just wonderful. This knot has the aluminum bullion cord with orange flecks throughout. The lower stem and slide are the usual “V” decorative type and the ball has the yarn-like bullion weave with a matching orange felt insert. An extremely rare portepee well worth the money. This is your golden opportunity to complete your postal dagger. This is the first one of these knots that I have been fortunate enough to offer in several years. Good luck to whomever acquires this example. It is a great investment!
Excellent Plus. $1,695.00(#012511)
ACCOU #33365C Luftwaffe Officer Hangers
This set of Luftwaffe Officer Hangers is still stiff throughout and if they were worn it was only once or twice The hangers have fine brocade fronts having the original purple gray textured color with twin lines of bullion stitching running the length. The reverse of the straps are the later type that do not have the velvet backing. As I say though, the straps themselves are still very stiff. The upper snap clip is a plain type which has a cast in “DRGM” marking on the reverse. Much of the original lacquer is still across the surfaces of this snap clip being at about 70%. The rectangular buckles and snaps features the raised out oak leaf motif and are also in pristine condition. The lower snaps are the “push in” type. They too have all of their original finish. This set of hangers measures eleven inches at their longest strap. A great example here to put with a near mint to mint Luftwaffe officer’s dagger.
Mint Minus. $225.00
ACCOU #33214 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers are quite long measuring 11¼ inches on the longest strap. They show a little bit of mild wear but there is no fraying or any problems with these hangers. The brocade fronts are still in excellent condition with their textured surfaces and twin bullion lines which run the length. The upper box clip still has most of its original aluminum plated surface. The oval buckles and slides also have most of their original plating and they feature overlapping raised oak leaves. The lower snaps are the deluxe type having “push up” snaps. The fronts are decorated with oak leaves and there is no marking on the reverse. The brocade on the reverse of these straps shows no wear to the surfaces and is pinched a little bit where the tops are sewn to the clip. This could be straightened out with a little ironing if necessary.
Excellent. $95.00
ACCOU #5661 RAD Two-Piece Bullet Hanger
This RAD Hanger is the type that has the separate belt loop with nickel snap clip. The leather of the belt loop matches exactly that of the lower section of the hanger. The snap clip on the belt loop is marked with a “A” and also has the RAD triangle with the year “38” stamped beneath. The lower portion of the hanger also has very choice black leather to include the lower bullet shape. The reverse of the bullet is covered in a brown felt which is mostly all there showing only mild surface wear. The snap clip on the lower section is marked exactly the same as the belt loop snap clip. A really fine conditioned RAD hanger here.
Near Mint. $595.00
ACCOU #33269 RAD Bullet Hanger
This RAD Bullet Hanger is slightly different than most that you see. One of the aspects about it is that the closed wire clip at the top as well as the snap clip above the bullet section of the hanger are in a chrome finish instead of the usual nickel type. Wear on the parts though shows that the lower section beneath the chrome plating is nickel. It is interesting to note that the snap clip has no other stamping on the reverse except “17” in large numerals. The upper portion of the leather is still in good condition with fine black surfaces. The lower bullet shaped section shows attic crazing to the surfaces. The reverse of the hanger is a fine brown color leather which still remains in near perfect condition. It is most interesting to note that the reverse of the bullet section is stamped with an open-winged political eagle. The swastika within the wreath looks like it may be a backwards type. I do not know the reason for this but the stamping does appear very old and original to this hanger. Since this is a hanger that was made by apparently a smaller company and they had their own way of doing things. Whatever it is, it is!
Excellent Plus. $495.00
ACCOU #33397 Miniature Portepee Watch Fob
This Watch Fob is in the form of a miniature NCO portepee. The portepee is identical to the large counterpart. It has the green strapping with dual bullion decorative lines. The slide and stem are of bullion with green “V” decoration. The cap is a larger cord of green and aluminum bullion with the lower acorn ball being of aluminum bullion. The stuffing matches the strapping. Attached to the miniature troddel is a small chain with snap clip for hooking on a watch. This watch fob obviously was worn by an army sergeant. The fob shows a little bit of oxidation in some of the areas but overall it is in pretty good shape.
Excellent. $95.00
ACCOU #33401 SS/Police Sword Hanger
This SS/Police Sword Hanger is different from any I have seen in the past but nevertheless is absolutely original. The hanger is only about 5½ inches in length. It consists of a belt loop with a teardrop attached to the loop. Riveted to the teardrop is a small leather loop which retains a nickel-plated snap clip. The accoutrement shows some age and wear overall but would still make a sound example to either attach to a degen or display with one.
Excellent. $275.00
ACCOU #33381 Army EM Troddel
This Army EM Troddel is an interesting example as it is almost all green. The green strapping is the textured type being of silk. The slide is a white silk and the stem below is a matching green silk. The cap is of white yarn like cord and the ball below is covered with green yarn-like cord. The insert matches the strapping. This army troddel relates the the Thirteenth Infantry Company. A very nice example here.

The stem is the flat variety with the metal showing beneath the crochet-like covering. The oval ball is of aluminum yarn-like bullion. The stuffing is a green yarn-like material. Army sword portepees are getting difficult to find and if you have a nice lion head example I’m sure that a portepee of this caliber would nicely set it off.

This strapping is decorated with twin rows of aluminum stitching running the length. The slide below is a thong like leather having aluminum decoration. The flat stem is covered with a crochet-like bullion. The oval ball is made of aluminum yarn-like bullion material. The insert is a yarn-like material. A very nice portepee here.

It is decorated with twin rows of aluminum stitching running the length. The slide is a leather thong type with aluminum bullion accents. The flat stem is a metal base being covered with crochet-like aluminum bullion. The oval ball below is of all aluminum yarn-like bullion. The insert is made of threaded material. A great portepee here ready to go onto your sword.
Excellent Plus. $150.00
ACCOU #33430 RLB Hanging Straps
This set of RLB Hanging Straps is in good condition except for the fact that the left strap has two repairs. The one repair is at the top below the snap clip and the second repair is just above the oval buckle. The repair was made by applying a matching dark blue strip of leather to the reverse area. With tenderness and care, I am sure that these hangers will go on to last a long time. We did not make the repair, but acquired them this way. The straps themselves are the typical RLB type, being dark blue-black color and having two sets of stitching running up the edges of each strap. The snap clip at the top has the pebbled finish and on the reverse it is marked “DRGM” and “M 3/10 RZM”. The lower snaps are the deluxe “push-up” type with oak leaf decoration. Each snap is marked “DRGM”. The oval buckles and snaps are decorated with raised oak leaves. A good set of straps here to display with your RLB dagger. These straps should not be used to suspend a dagger, but they are priced accordingly. These straps are longer than most of the RLBs you will see, measuring 9” at the long strap.
Excellent. $495.00
ACCOU #32847 RLB Officer Hangers
This set of RLB Officer Hangers was adjusted to the original wearer’s height back when the set was new. The lower strap has been adjusted to a length of almost 10 inches, and the upper strap to a length of 6 inches. This allowed the dagger to swing on a more drastic angle which, apparently, this RLB officer preferred. The leather straps are still in outstanding supple condition with no signs of rot or any problems. These blue-black straps have the traditional four sets of stitching that runs the length of each. The hardware is a silver plated type that still appears to have nearly all of the silvering. Because these metal fittings are pot metal, a lot of times the silvering comes off easily, so it is nice to see this much silver still on these mounts. The top snap clip is the pebbled style. It is marked on the back, “RZM M5/10”. The RZM marking is on this set because of expediency for the hardware firm. These snap clips were also used on Hitler Youth Leader examples, so they mark all of their snaps with the RZM. The oval buckles and slides have raised oak leaf and acorn detail. The matching lower snaps are the deluxe type with push-up style ends. These snaps portray an oak leaf sprig on the obverse, and on the reverse they are stamped “DRGM”. A great set of hangers here, still in very fine condition.
Excellent Plus. $895.00
ACCOU #32945 Luftwaffe Deluxe Hangers
This set of Luftwaffe Deluxe Hangers is fairly long, measuring nearly 11inches. The upper snap clip is the deluxe type which is covered with oak leaves, and on the reverse is marked “UE10 RZM”, as well as “DRGM”. The rectangular buckles and slides below are the pleasing gray color, featuring raised oak leaves. The “push-up” style snaps are in good condition, featuring oak leaf sprigs on the obverse and marked on the reverse “DRGM”. The brocade straps still have good gray color and feature the twin rows of aluminum brocade stripes. There is just the beginning of fraying to occur at the tops of the two straps. The strap on the left shows more than the one on the right, but is not too bad. The reverse of the straps shows a little mild wear, having good velvet high pile gray fabric. A decent set of deluxe hangers.
Excellent. $125.00
ACCOU #32942 Extra-Long Luftwaffe Deluxe Hangers
This set of Deluxe Luftwaffe Hangers are the longest I have ever seen. They actually measure an incredible 12 ½ inches in length. I would assume that the man that wore these was a very tall fellow! The top snap clip is the style with deluxe raised-out oak leafing and marked “UE10” on the reverse, as well as “DRGM”. The fine rectangular buckles and slides feature raised oak leaf motif. The deluxe snaps below are the “push-up” style, having oak leaf sprigs on the obverse and “DRGM’ marked on the reverse. The brocade straps are in fine new-like condition. These textured straps have a fine gray/purple color, having twin sets of bullion stripes running their long length. On the reverse is high pile gray velvet which shows no wear. A great set of unusual Luftwaffe straps.
Mint. $250.00
ACCOU #32816 NCO Bayonet Troddel
This NCO Bayonet Troddel has fine strapping having good texture, and each edge has triple bullion lines which run the length. There is a slide and stem which have a “V” green weave design into the aluminum bullion. The ball below is of a bullion bottom with a cap of green and speckled bullion trim. The insert matches the strapping. A very fine troddel here, ready to go on to your plain or etched bayonet.
Mint. $75.00
ACCOU #32928 Army Sword Portepee
This Army Sword Portepee is the larger style variety. It features green leather strapping that is enhanced with triple rows of aluminum bullion stitching which runs the length. This portepee was already on a sword, so it is curved to shape at the end. There is a matching slide which is made of thonged leather and the stem is the flat metal style covered with crochet-like aluminum bullion. The lower ball is an oval shape and is made of yarn-like bullion with a nice green velvet insert. This knot shows some usage, but is still all there and would look great on any army sword.
Excellent Plus. $150.00
ACCOU #32717 RLB Officer Hangers
This set of RLB Officer’s Hangers is still in good, sound condition. The blue-black leather straps have the traditional four lines of stitches which run the length of each one. The hangers measure approximately 9½” overall. The leather throughout shows mild usage but there is no rotting or kinks. The hardware is the traditional type. Most of the silvering is still on this hardware. The snap clip is the pebbled variety which is DRGM marked on the reverse as well as with the maker code “M 5/10”. The oval buckles and slides have the traditional overlapping oak leaf design raised out. The lower snaps are the deluxe “push-in” type having oak leaf decoration on the surfaces and they are DRGM marked on the reverse. This set of RLB hanging straps would go very nicely with an excellent plus plus to near mint 2nd model RLB officer’s dagger. These straps are getting very difficult to find.
Excellent Plus. $995.00
ACCOU #32744 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers are quite long, measuring overall over 11”. The brocade fronts are still in excellent condition and the velvet backs show just the most nominal of wear. The top clip is the closed plain style and the oval buckles and slides have the traditional raised oak leaf design. The lower snaps are pebbled and are the style with rounded tops. They have the “push-in” style access. A good set of hangers here in nice condition.
$150.00
ACCOU #32612 SS Marked Over-The-Shoulder Equipment Hanger
I am not sure what this over-the-shoulder equipment hanger was used for, but it appears to have been worn beneath the tunic as it has gray cotton strapping with nickel plated adjustment buckles. At the end, which would have been worn on the left or right hip, is a leather style frog. The frog is retained to the cloth straps via four nickel rivets. Below the rivets are traditional dagger snap clips which are affixed to the leather. These clips are also nickel plated, showing only mild age. Stamped into the obverse leather surface is the number “145”. On the reverse of the leather, which is a gray color, it is stamped within double circles “RZM 101/88 ss” within double circles. This could be a real key accouterment if the right person out there knew what it was for. The fact that the lower leather portion of the frog or hanger is in finished black leather with nickel plated hardware would indicate that the accouterment did show beneath the tunic. An interesting item here and if someone out there knows its purpose, I hope that they will inform me accordingly.
Excellent Plus. $450.00
ACCOU #32634 Luftwaffe Sword Leather Teardrop Hanger
This Luftwaffe Teardrop Hanger measures overall about 6.5”. The top portion of the hanger is equipped with a blue leather belt loop having an aluminum “D” ring with pebbled finish. The lower portion has matching blue leather in a teardrop shape on the obverse and the reverse is brown leather. This teardrop folds over the “D” ring where it is buttoned with an aluminum boss and also has a leather ring to keep it closed. There is a nickel plated snap clip at the lower which would hook onto the crescent assembly on the sword scabbard. This nickel plated clip is OLC marked on the reverse. On the reverse of the teardrop there are some interesting markings. There is a maker marking but it is tough to make it out. Below this, though, is the deep stamping “L.B.A.” The initials stand for the control organization of the Luftwaffe for clothing “Luftwaffe Bekleidungs Amt”. You will see these Luftwaffe stampings on lots of accouterments and related items. In addition to the “L.B.A.” stamping, to the left of these letters is an early droop tail Luftwaffe eagle stamped. The eagle is carrying a swastika in his talons. Below the bird, there is also a waffenamp which appears to have the number “8” in the belly of the early bird. This is a great Luftwaffe teardrop hanger for those who like to look at all these stampings. This is an exceptional example!

ACCOU #32457 Luftwaffe Sword Belt Loop
This blue Luftwaffe Sword Belt Loop is equipped with an aluminum “D” ring which as pebbled finish. These small belt loops were attached to an under-the-tunic harness. The belt loop then attached to a teardrop hanger which was further attached to the crescent leather hanger attached to the Luftwaffe sword scabbard. A key piece here if you happen to have the teardrop hanger without a belt loop.

ACCOU #32619 Imperial Naval Sword Portepee
This Imperial Naval Sword Portepee is in new-like condition, still having its original tie string keeping it together. The portepee is the silver bullion type having flecks of black and red in the bullion finish. The silver bullion has not yet toned and is still pristine throughout. The slide and stem are the style with a contrasting “v” weave having red and black highlights. The lower ball is a yarn-like bullion material having an insert of black, red and white. This beautiful knot would look terrific on a mint conditioned Imperial sword. It would also look nice in an Imperial naval display next to some other naval accouterments.
Mint. $325.00

ACCOU #31782 Luftwaffe Sword/1st Model Dagger Teardrop Hanger
This Luftwaffe Teardrop Hanger is most unusual and is the first type that I have seen like this. It is 8¼” in length. The leather portion of the teardrop is a dark blue color leather still in pristine condition. Sewn to the center of the teardrop section is a small leather tongue which has an aluminum pebbled “d” ring attached to it. At the top, there is an aluminum pebbled snap clip which is in pristine condition. The snap clip is unmarked. The reverse of this hanger has a fine tan leather which also has a decorative line running around its borders, the same as the obverse. This hanger would really dress up a 1st model Luftwaffe dagger or a Luftwaffe sword. A very rare accouterment here.
Near Mint. $350.00
ACCOU #31796 Army Officer Hangers
These Army Officer Hangers are the later style which do not have the velvet backing. They are, however, still stiff and I doubt if they were issued. The hardware still has the bright aluminum finish on the oval buckle slides and snaps. The oak leaves are prominent on the surfaces of the buckles and slides and the “push in” style lower snaps still have much crispness to their pebbled surfaces. The upper closed box clip is plain with no decoration. A fine set of what appears to be unissued army officer straps here that would go excellent with a wartime issued dagger in the same condition. These straps measure overall about 11¾”.
Mint. $150.00
ACCOU #16658 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers has good quality throughout. The brocade is nice and bright on the obverse and the green velvet on the reverse shows only the most modest of wear. These straps are quite long, measuring nearly 11½”. The upper closed box clip still has almost all of its silvering. The oval oak leafed buckles and slides have most of their silvering and are in excellent condition. The lower snaps also have a good part of the silvering and they are the “push in” style with pebbled finish. A good set of army hangers here.
Near Mint. $150.00
ACCOU #18193 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers has the deluxe metal tab option that holds the brocade straps with rivets. The metal tabs are silver plated and have a nice patination. The oak leaf sprigs are visible below the patina. These hangers are quite long, measuring nearly 11” overall. The brocade shows some age and usage but it is still in pretty good condition. The reverse of the straps have quite a bit of wear to the velvet pile but there is no fraying. The upper closed clip is the style that is DRGM marked and has raised oak leaves. The ovaled buckles and slides have oak leaves and show wear to the silvering. The lower snaps have the “push up” option and they are DRGM marked. They nicely match the buckles and slides. A good set of hangers with the seldom seen metal tab option.
Excellent Plus. $195.00
ACCOU #32168 Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers shows quite a bit of soiling and dirt to the front brocade. The reverse velvet is still pretty good and does not show inordinate wear. This set of hangers is equipped with the deluxe type closed box clip which has oak leaf springs and is DRGM marked. It has good silvered surface. The oval oak leaf buckles and slides also have good silvered surfaces without a lot of wear. The lower “push up” style deluxe snaps have nearly all their silvering and are DRGM marked on the reverse. This set of straps does not make a very good appearance because of the brocade soiling but they certainly have some great parts on them if someone needed this set of straps for parts.
Good Plus. $50.00 (#042911)
ACCOU #31039C SA Grip Retainer Loop
This SA Retainer Loop appears to be unissued. It has choice new-like brown leather and is complete with the small leather loop riveted into place. The snap clip works perfectly. This is a great accoutrement if you have the fine conditioned belt loop to go with it.
Mint. $75.00
ACCOU #31330 Army Officer’s Hanging Straps
This set of Army Officer’s Straps are fairly long measuring about 11-inches overall. The straps are still clean showing a little bit of wear to the brocade. The reverse has the green velvet high pile also showing mild wear but no fraying. The closed box clip at the top is the style with raised out oak leaves and is patent pending marked on the top, “DRGM”. The buckles and slides have oak leaf designs and still have quite a bit of the original silvered finish. The deluxe style push-up snaps have oak leaf designs and are DRGM marked in the back. These snaps have silvering matching the buckles. A nice set of hanging straps here.
Excellent Plus. $150.00
ACCOU #31036C Black Belt Loop with Retainer
This black belt loop is the larger size, having excellent leather throughout and retained via a rivet. It has a heavy “D” ring which is non-magnetic, so it must be made of nickel. There is a small grip retainer loop attached that would go to an SA dagger. I do not know whether the two of these leather parts were worn together but they are being sold as a unit.
Excellent. $95.00
ACCOU #31135C Gilded Kriegsmarine Hangers
This set of Kriegsmarine Hangers have the gilded aluminum hardware. They are pristine throughout and are as nice as you will find. The lion masks have outstanding sharp characteristics and the snap clips only show a dagger worn maybe once or twice. The upper snap clip on the short hanger is complete with the regain chain and hook. The straps are the usual black lined moiré and the reverse has high-pile black velvet showing no wear. A very choice set of hangers here which will go great with a mint naval dagger.
Mint. $550.00 (#090710)
ACCOU #30965 Unidentified Sword Hanger
This brocade sword hanger is quite beautiful, having a gold textured base with a blue line running through the center of the brocade. It is all sewn to a red leather backing. The hardware is all gilded brass. The upper closed clip is brass with a regain hook and rings. There is a rectangular buckle and below there is a gilded snap clip having oak leaf decoration. This snap clip hangs from a belt assembly behind the buckle. I am not sure whether this rigging is German, Austrian or some other country, but it certainly is quite good looking and is priced as an unknown item.
Excellent Plus. $125.00
ACCOU #31187 Army Hangers
This set of Army Hangers has fairly good brocade, which still is clean and shows little wear. The reverse has good velvet pile. There is a period repair to the stitching on one of the reverse areas where it is folded over. The hardware on this set of hangers is the deluxe type. The silvering is still fairly good. The closed upper clip has an oak leaf and sprig motif with “DRGM” markings. The oval buckles and slides have the oak leaf motif and the “push-up” style deluxe snaps are “DRGM” marked on the reverse. A pretty good set of hangers here.
Excellent Plus. $125.00
ACCOU #31186 Army Hangers
This set of Army Hangers shows some age and a little oxidation to the bullion straps. There are also some rust stains to the right side of the straps and also around the right grommet. The reverse of the brocade has good velvet pile showing mild wear. The fittings are the deluxe type. The top closed clip is plain. The oval buckles and slides depict the oak leaf motif. There is also some oxidation on these parts. The lower snaps are the deluxe type and also have oxidation on their oak leaf sprigs. They have the “push-up” snaps and on the reverse, they are marked with the Assmann “A”.
Good Plus. $75.00
ACCOU #30882C Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers has the deluxe hardware and is overall in very nice condition. The brocade fronts are still nice and clean with good texture to the surfaces. The reverse show little wear. The upper clip is the style that is oak leafed throughout and the top is marked, “DRGM”. The oval buckles, slides and deluxe push-up style snaps all have excellent silvering looking to be about 95%. This is a good set of hangers for a near mint dagger.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $175.00
ACCOU #30872 Early High Quality Army Officer Hangers
This set of Army Officer Hangers are produced of highest quality. The obverse brocade is in choice condition throughout. The reverse high pile velvet shows only modest wear along the edges. The straps are retained via rarely seen leather sewn tops. The leather is a brown color. The hardware on this example is quality nickel base. The silvering has held up quite good and the oval buckles, slides and push-in style pebbled lower snaps have about 85% of the silvering. This is an outstanding set of hangers to mate up with an early army officer dagger.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $225.00
ACCOU #30875C Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers
This set of Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers does show some overall age and some wear to the reverse with just a little bit of fraying along the brocade edges. The brocade itself though is still clean and looks nice from the front. The upper horseshoe clip has about 50% of the silvering left and the other portion is heavily patinated having the two rivets which retain the straps. The oval buckle, slides and deluxe push-up snaps have about the same amount of silvering but look to be in good condition. The snaps are “DRGM” marked on the reverse. A decent set of horseshoe hangers.
Excellent. $195.00
ACCOU #30878C Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers
This set of Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers show some minor wear and age but are overall in good condition. The silvering to the horseshoe is about 75% and the lower oval buckles, slides and deluxe push-up snaps have probably a little more than that in silvering. The snaps are “DRGM” marked on the reverse. The brocade fronts still are mostly clean and present well. The reverse shows a little wear. A fairly good set of horseshoe hangers here.
Excellent Plus. $225.00
ACCOU #30876C Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers
This set of Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers are in fairly nice condition throughout. The brocade shows a little bit of wear but it is still bright and clean. There is some wear to the reverse of the straps but not bad. The upper horseshoe clip has the two oak leaf sprig raised out images and it is “DRGM” marked on the reverse. The oval, slides and snaps have about 60% silvering.
Excellent Plus. $225.00
ACCOU #29785 Early Brown SA Vertical Hanger
This brown SA Vertical Hanger is of pre-RZM origin. It shows some usage and there is also a repair to the cross strap but overall it is in good condition and will go nicely on an early SA dagger. The brown leather is of coffin shape on the reverse and it has two rivet construction. The cross strap is in good condition and the buckle has a roller set up on it. The clip is a “dog leash” variety which shows some age but overall most of the plating is still there. A good vertical here which would really dress up an early SA Röhm or other cherished piece.
Excellent Plus. $495.00
ACCOU #30551 Army Horseshoe Hangers
These Army Officer's Horseshoe Topped Hangers are in good condition having a little bit of oxidation on the top of the first strap. The silver plating though throughout the fittings makes up for quite a bit. The horseshoe top still has all of its plating and it is decorated with raised out oak leaves and acorns. The reverse has a pebbled finish and has the “DRGM” markings at the top bar. The horseshoe bracket retains the straps via a rivet on each side. The oval buckles and slides have excellent silvering and good detail to the oak leaves. The deluxe style push-up snap clips have most of the silvering on the right example and the left example has a little bit of oxidation on the right side but not bad. These snaps are marked “DRGM” on the reverse. The obverse brocade shows some usage and some age and there are a couple of discolor markings about halfway down but nothing too bad. The reverse velvet shows also some wear and a little bit of fray up by the rivet area on the shorter strap. These straps though are priced accordingly.
Excellent Plus. $195.00
ACCOU #29809 Canvas Sword Strap/Hanger
This Canvas Sword Strap shows some mild soiling but it has no fraying or problems and it is complete with a buckle for adjustment. Attached at the end of the hanger is a leather tongue shaped accoutrement which has a nickel snap clip attached to it. The snap clip is in perfect condition and is not marked being nickel-plated. The leather backing tongue is also a nice fine brown color professionally stitched. This accoutrement was made to hold the wearer’s sword. The strap was worn over the shoulder and a frog was attached to the snap clip which retained the sword. A nice accoutrement here getting difficult to find.
Excellent Plus. $95.00
ACCOU #29460C RAD Bullet Hanger
This RAD Bullet Hanger is a good, long example that measures about 11-inches in full length. It is the type that has the belt loop connected to the lower section via a thick wire bracket. The black leather has good sturdy stitches holding this example together. The lower portion has the black colored bullet shaped leather which protects the wearer’s uniform from the swing of the heavy hewer. There is also a good nickel-plated snap clip which is marked on the reverse in an ellipse “H & Co” and “37”. The reverse of the hanger has brown leather on the lower section. It is maker marked stamped into the leather, “Kern Kläger & Co 1938 Berlin”. In addition, in black rubber stamping is the unit marking of this RAD wearer’s section, “3/386”. An outstanding RAD bullet hanger ready to be put on your choice conditioned hewer.
Near Mint. $550.00 #013111
ACCOU #29467C TeNo Officer Brocade Hangers
This set of TeNo Officer Brocade Hangers measures about 10-inches overall in length. Looking at the reverse of the straps I can see where they have been shortened by about an inch. Where the straps are turned over at the back they also have been period stitched so that they are properly secured. The straps were worn this way as the other folds are permanently formed in place. This black brocade features twin sets of aluminum lines running the length. There is little to no wear on the obverse and the same is true to the reverse high pile black velvet. The clip at the top is an aluminum closed style. The buckles are around having the gear wheel surfaces that we see used for TeNo. The slides below have a slight darkening to them to match the factory blackening on the recesses of the buckles. The lower snaps are the push-in pebbled type and they show minor wear to the areas where they touch the dagger. This is an outstanding opportunity here to acquire an ultra rare set of teno brocade hangers. These straps will go nicely with a near mint to mint conditioned officer’s dagger.
Near Mint. $2,995.00
ACCOU #28972C White Bayonet Frog
This bayonet frog appears to be the size that would be used for a butcher type bayonet or one with a larger proportioned scabbard. The frog has been coated with a white finish. Overall the leather is somewhat hard and could use a little bit of nurturing to soften it up. The frog very much resembles the size of a Red Cross hewer type. It is retained by four rivets which have also been whitened in the process. The reverse upper area has been stamped with the maker marking and date, “A. Fischer / Berlin C.2 / 1937”. These white finished bayonet frogs were used for honor guard duty such as the Feldhernhalle memorial, the honor temples or even guard duty at the Reich Chancellery. A rare accoutrement here.
Excellent. $495.00
ACCOU #28957C Wall Sword Bag
This sword bag is a desirable rust color and it measures 40-inches in length. It is in good shape throughout having a fine cloth wool enforcement border sewn throughout all of the edges. The top portion has the pinching shear configuration and it has a string which acts as a closure device. There are a couple of moth bites here and there but nothing severe. The lower area of one side has a splint in it but this could be very easily remedied. A nice looking wall sword bag here which you could use as a backdrop with a mint sword or if you like keep your own sword in the bag and preserve it accordingly. This is a very nice accoutrement that few people have in their collection.
Excellent Plus. $225.00
ACCOU #19575 Early RAD EM Hewer Hanger
This early,
short-style, RAD EM Hanger is of all black leather construction. It is
the style with small strap equipped with oval buckle and hasp
to keep it closed. It shows quite a bit of usage at the fold over
point, but about half of the leather still remains. This will
work fine on your early Hewer, assuming you are not going to wear
it. The small black retainer loop is missing from this rig, but
does not effect the serviceability. It is identical to the one
shown in wear on page 36 of the Johnson Accouterment Book.
Excellent Plus. $295.00
ACCOU #4519 Army Sword Harness
This "under the tunic" Army Sword Harness is complete with canvas strapping having an adjustable buckle and a leather frog accoutrement sewn to the harness. The frog is an hour glass shape and is equipped with a nickel-plated snap clip. The snap clip is riveted to the leather frog. The obverse of the frog is a rich brown color and the reverse of it is a green leather color. These harnesses were worn beneath a tunic in order to suspend a sword through the slit below the pocket flap.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $125.00
ACCOU #28507 "Under the Tunic" Sword Harness
This "under the tunic" sword harness is made of a soft cotton fabric having a texture to it. At the halfway point there is a brown leather loop with D ring sewn for which would be attached a sword teardrop hanger or perhaps some other hardware to adapt the D ring to the sword carrying ring.
Excellent. $75.00
ACCOU #28509 Webbed Belt with Fixed D-Ring
This "under the tunic" webbed belt is a lighter green olive color. There would have been many organizations that could have used this belt as basically it was worn beneath the tunic and used to service the hanging of a dagger. There is a fixed brown leather loop having a gilded D-ring. The gilded D-ring matches the gilded buckle which is also equipped with a roller. Just thinking about it this rig could be used for an NPEA leader’s dagger, any kind of a forestry or hunting dagger or basically any dagger which would have hangers with a snap clip hardware at the top. Either way, someone out there probably has a good use for this original rig.
Excellent Plus. $125.00
ACCOU #28515 Black Leather Sword Sling
This black leather sword sling has a gold rectangular buckle and a gold D-ring for the belt loop at the top. The black leather, though, could have been worn by army officers as they certainly wore black boots. The gold buckle and D-ring would go nicely with the gilded hilt of the sword. This sling is about 20-inches in length and shows some attic crazing in the surfaces as well as age. It is still relatively sound though but could use a little leather nurture to soften it up some. It is complete with a nickel-plated regain chain and hook. The snap clip at the reverse of the gold buckle is DRGM marked and also painted black.
Excellent. $225.00
ACCOU #28516 Black Leather Sword Sling
This black leather sword sling is about 20-inches in length and is fitted with a gold rectangular buckle and a gold D-ring which retains the belt loop above. The black painted snap clip at the reverse of the gold buckle is DRGM marked. This leather could use some nurturing but it is still basically sound having decorative trim lines on the edges. This is likely an army sword hanger which would go with the officer’s black boots and the gold trim would go with the gilded sword hilt.
Excellent. $195.00
ACCOU #23771 SA Two Piece Vertical Rig
This SA Vertical Rig shows a little bit of mild age to the leather pieces. There is more age to the grip retaining loop but it is still serviceable having a good working strap. The nickel-plated D-ring is retained by a rivet which holds the belt loop closed.
Excellent. $150.00
ACCOU #15610 Deluxe Army Hangers
A nice fine example
of Deluxe Army hangers. This example is little longer than average and
in a very desirable condition. Oak leave decoration throughout and D.R.G.M.
marked on upper box clipand lower push up clips. Excellent condition on front
brocade and backing. Nice hangers here.
Excellent. $150.00
ACCOU #27668C Early Brass Army Hangers
The silver gild of these Early Brass Army Hangers
has been worn away from these hangers, to reveal a brilliant brass.
Being an early make, the metal used in thier construction is always of the best quality.
With the gild gone, these hangers begin to resemble those that would have been issued to a General.
There is some wear on the brocade and backing, but both still appear
pleasing to the eye. The buckles, box-clip, slides, and snap clips
are all in good condition, showing only normal wear and tear.
The oak leaves and pebbling are brilliant, extremely well preserved. These Army hangers are
in good shape considering their age. A nice, and rare, set of hangers here.
Excellent. $200.00
ACCOU #27651C Army Officer Hangers
These interesting
Army Hangers are still in fine condition, even though some minor usage wear
is evident. The backing and brocade remain suprisingly vibrant. What appears to be an ordinary box-clip
houses the rarely seen leather reinforcement for the straps. Excellent detail remains evident
throughout the buckles and slides. The pebbling and spring action are still
fresh on the snap clips. These are some very nice Army hangers here, reasonably priced for
their condition.
Good. $175.00
ACCOU #27617 Unknown Original Third Reich Hanging Straps
This set of
hanging straps is 10 inches long. The purpose of these hangers
is unknown to me; however, there is no question that they were
actually worn with a dagger and worn for some time. The construction
and materials indicate that they were produced definitely during
the Third Reich. It is possible that they could have been used
by one of the axis dagger countries, but if this is the case,
I do not recognize them, as the really do not resemble the style
of some of the countries that wore similar hangers such as Bulgaria
and Croatia. These straps have a fine silver brocade front with
twin green lines that run the length. The brocade is sewn to a
green leather backing. This leather is still quite supple and
is in good condition. The brocade fronts show age and patination
but no fray. The hardware for these hangers is a plain box clip
at the top and the lower buckles, slides and push-up style snaps
are standard army issue variety. This hardware has the silver
plated surfaces and as is usually the case, they do show deterioration
of the plating and some corrosion here and there. It is possible
that these straps could have been used for some type of a hunting
or forestry cutlass that was carried by suspension rings instead
of a frog. It is also possible that the straps could have been
for some type of a heavy-duty customs edged weapon. Your guess
is as good as mine, but, whatever they are, this is an original
set and would be a welcome addition if someone out there has a
dagger missing these hangers!
Excellent. $995.00
ACCOU #4866 Unidentified Black Leather Teardrop Hanger
This unusual
black, teardrop-shaped leather hanger is about 6 inches in length.
It is equipped with a "D" ring at the top. The ring
is secured, having extra leather at the top being folded over
and retained with an aluminum boss and small strap. At the lower
portion, there is a "U" shaped retaining fitting covered
with matching black leather - this "U" fitting is designed
to snugly fit under a lug. In the center of the hanger, is a matching
cross strap with snap button. It was meant to retain a grip in
place. I tried this hanger on a couple of things. It works well
on a shooting cutlass or a small proportion clamshell Police bayonet.
Probably would work on other things also. It shows usage, but
is still in very serviceable condition. Definitely a 3rd Reich,
German-produced accouterment here. Nice item.
Excellent Plus. $275.00
ACCOU #16021 Grey/Light Brown Woolen Sword Storage Bag
This example
is in choice condition and measures about 38 inches overall. It
is the style having machine sewn stitching running around all
the edges. The top is a little unusual in that it folds over to
close. The top flap is equipped with two snaps, having leather
reinforcement on the opposite side. This great bag has no mothing
what-so-ever, and is in perfect condition. I slipped a Diplomatic
Degen I had laying around into it, and it fit great. It would
also work well for a shorter SS/Police Degen. It is hard to find this
kind of accoutrement, especially in this condition.
Mint. $250.00
ACCOU #26749C British Naval Sword Portepee
This sword
portepee is of gold bullion fabric, having two black decorative
stripes that run the length. The lower area has a slide consisting
of black and gold bullion which matches a pinecone shaped lower
ball, also made of the same weaved material. I believe that this
is a knot for a British naval sword and would look terrific, if
you have a nice example. The knot shows age but is in unissued
condition.
Mint. $150.00
ACCOU #24717 Brown Woolen Sword Storage Bag
This woolen
sword storage bag is a lighter color brown color, and it shows
almost no mothing, being in fine condition. The seams are all
sewn throughout the three sides, the bottom having extra stitches
put in for strength. The top of the bag is cut straight and it
is equipped with a drawstring fed through its holes. This bag
measures 42 inches and would accommodate a good long Army Officer
sword. A fine bag here.
Excellent Plus, Plus. $295.00
ACCOU #24718 Field Green Army Officer Sword Storage Bag
This Army Sword
bag is a beautiful field green/grey color. It is in choice condition,
having no mothing and still fairly stiff. The bottom has been
reinforced with green leather which remains in perfect condition.
The edges are all sewn and at the top there is a pinching shear
crimp. The original grey color drawstring is in place. This would
be a fantastic bag to display a mint Field Marshall sword or any
special sword from the German army you may have in your collection.
